  1. message boards are for ranting
  2. Lots of people have said the same thing over the years, but as long as he keeps winning the SBC, there is absolutely no way we're getting rid of him. He knows that, which may explain why he actually seems to do some coaching during their conference games.
  3. Heck, we're not going to get 5 safeties and I know our offense isn't going to score so there's no shot at a field goal. We may get lucky and get one defensive TD. I think it's closer to: KSU - 123 NT - 7
  4. They'll still score 1000
  5. DENTON, Texas (AP) -- Paul Smith threw for 189 yards and two touchdowns as Tulsa handed North Texas its worst home loss 54-2 Saturday night. Brandon Diles rushed for 128 yards and one touchdown, and Cauvey Jackson scored twice for Tulsa (1-2), which did not play leading rusher Uril Parrish. Tulsa coach Steve Kragthorpe did not elaborate on the decision after the game. Tulsa held the heralded North Texas tandem of Patrick Cobbs and Jamario Thomas to 113 yards rushing on 24 carries. Cobbs led the Mean Green (1-1) with 100 yards on 17 attempts but was tackled in the end zone for a safety late in the first quarter. Smith went 12-for-21, throwing touchdown passes to Garrett Mills and Idris Moss. Mills finished with eight catches for 143 yards. Daniel Meager was 9-of-21 for 63 yards and threw two interceptions for North Texas, which had just 129 yards total offense. The Mean Green converted just two of 15 third downs. Jackson finished with 49 yards on seven carries. Anthony Germany returned a fumble 32 yards for a touchdown late in the fourth quarter for Tulsa. Tulsa's victory snapped a 15-game losing streak in non-conference road games.
  6. Yes, your few fans were louder than our 20,000+ fans for most of the game.
  7. Heck, why didn't they put in ANY subs at the end of the game. Why the heck was PC in for those last few meaningless series when JT or one of our other backs could surely have used some game time.
  8. Yeah, it's hard to believe that anyone could think we have a good or even great coach after watching this game.
  9. I will be shocked if we don't at least wind up on the waitlist after this game.
  10. I refuse to believe our defense is better than our offense after that game. Although, I also refuse to believer our offense is better than our defense after that game.
  11. Our recruiting efforts just took a huge step backward thanks to DD's and RF's unwillingness to prepare for OOC games
  12. It will live in infamy! It will never die! Every future bad home loss or bad OOC loss will be compared to this one. Every loss to a mid-tier team will be compared to this one. We were there for a part of history. I just hope I am never there for this type of history again.
  13. Great. Our worst home loss in history is against freaking Tulsa. Not Tech, not OU, not USC or some other big game. But Tulsa. Just great.
  14. 12 penalties for 103 yards. And there were 2-3 penalties declined as I recall.
  15. Yeah, forget bringing in any big name schools. I don't want to see a home game that is any worse than this disaster.
  16. Preemptive bang!
  17. 9 penalties for 70 yards against FAU.
  18. There were a number of them down toward the front; I'm not sure all of them stayed the whole game though.
  19. Game over. ULL gets the lone win for the belt this week.
  20. Not if we rack up penalties like we did for this game.
  21. What was worse was seeing the really unimpressed recruits we had there.
  22. Plus once we lay another egg against LaTech, you can bet the farm that LaTech will leap ahead of us for any new opening in CUSA.
  23. There will be. For KState and LaTech. After this game, I'd bet the farm against us for those games.
  24. ULL up 49-28; they could win the SBC and play the bowl game at home in Lafayette this year.
  25. Don't worry, nobody was impressed. Not new people. Not old people. Not non-people. I think there was a dog across the street that was bored to tears.
