Heck, I thought it was the Junior Mean Green Club out there.

Those handheld scanners REALLY slow down the lines. Just ripping off the ticket stubs was SO much faster.

Especially because he wanted to go out on a high note. I hope the team can come together and that will actually happen.

I really think that, for some reason or another, the injury Meager had to his shoulder hasn't come even close to healing. There is no way he should even be a QB if he can't throw the ball more than 25-30 yards. It looked to me like his range has gotten worse since the MTSU game.

Was kind of sad how people were throwing them after Tulsa scored toward the end of the game. I guess they figured they wouldn't have an opportunity to throw them otherwise.

Woo! Our team rocks!

Actually, Quinn's diving catch in the 4th stood out for me. Regardless of the score, he was laying out to get that ball. Great catch.

I might take a look at Voertman's or the bookstore. They have a pretty good selection, but I've never looked for a nightshirt, so I can't say for sure.

Glasses of Scotch for everyone...

Actually, ND lost in overtime:) Hope that cheers you up some -
I didn't notice it too much since the team is still wearing the old green. I did notice the weird pukey green color tops that the NT dancers were wearing though and really thought they might want to go with a slightly different shade.

Our offense has NOT played well, even against SBC opponent MTSU. I don't know why anyone thinks our offense will play well against other SBC teams. MTSU moved the ball very well against our defense also. I just don't see us getting 5 turnovers to none in the rest of our SBC games. I do think the rest of our games are going to be a lot more challenging than some people may realize.

Tulsa Surges Past Mean Green, 54-2 Courtesy: University of North Texas Release: 09/17/2005 Courtesy: Rick Yeatts DENTON (9/17/05) – Tulsa used a strong second half to push past the North Texas football team, 54-2, on Saturday night at Fouts Field in front of a crowd of 23,112. After leading 19-2 at halftime, Tulsa (1-2) combined for 252 total yards and 35 points in the second half. Golden Hurricane running backs Brandon Diles rushed for 128 yards, and Cauvey Jackson ran for two touchdowns. The Mean Green (1-1) is now 54-19 all-time in home openers and 0-2 the last two years. Tulsa extends its lead in the series against North Texas to 14-6 and 5-4 at Fouts Field. The Tulsa offense combined for 406 yards of total offense, while the Golden Hurricane defense held the Mean Green to 129 yards. Patrick Cobbs and Jamario Thomas combined for 113 yards with Cobbs leading the way with 100 yards. He needs 22 more yards to break the career rushing record at North Texas. Ja’Quay Wilburn holds the current record of 3,120 yards. The last time North Texas was held without a touchdown in a game was last year’s 65-0 loss to Texas in the Mean Green’s season opener. The Mean Green scored the first points of the game with a team safety at the end of the first quarter but was then outscored, 54-0. With the safety, North Texas recorded its first points in the first quarter this season and has yet to give up points in the first 15 minutes this year. After pinning down North Texas on its one-yard line, Tulsa tied the game with a safety of its own in the second quarter when Cobbs was unable to get out of the endzone. The Golden Hurricane added a 42-yard field goal and then recorded two touchdowns in a span of 1:37 to enter half ahead, 19-2. North Texas returns to action on Saturday, Sept. 24 at Kansas State.

They're probably salivating at the thought of playing us next year. Heck, any team outside the SBC probably would be if they had us on their schedule. It's going to take a long time to get past the bad perception created from this game. I have poor hopes on actually beating KSU, but I really hope that something clicks against LaTech b/c if we get embarassed by them also, there is going to be a lot of negativity flowing, I'm sure.

I agree, but I really wish I had a job where I only had to show up half the time
-
I agree. I really would love for him to succeed and maybe it is just a lack of confidence in his shoulder, but, for the most, part, he did have time to make a decision. Unfortunately, some of his throws just plain scared me and I found myself wondering why we weren't running more style_emoticons/style_emoticons/ Also, Quinn made a great catch there in the fourth on another poorly thrown ball. At least we know he can make the catch if the QB gives him a chance to make the play.

Losing games doesn't bother me so much as the way we lose games sometimes. Chalk this one up there along with FAU last year (where we seemed clearly outcoached) and Troy back in '01 (ugh).

Believe me there is no reveling going on here.
-
Not to mention students, fans, guests, visitors, community members, potential donors, recruits, players, etc.
-
Yeah, but a lot of those 3rd and 30's b/c of sacks and penalties didn't help us.
-
I don't care what plays are called and I don't care who is at QB as long as the QB doesn't consistently throw the ball SHORT. I sure hope the next game I see has us using a QB that doesn't throw the ball SHORT, whether its the same QB or another QB. But, with no passing game, we have no running game and basically no game whatsoever.
-
Yes, I'll be there. Plus, if someone doesn't do their job, they need to be called out for it. Some people didn't do their job this week and I'm sure they don't expect us to sit around and say good job. That really would make this board the Idiot Board.
