We are 2-14 in the homer dome – the refs continue to be horrific (they took this game from us again) and when their calls start putting our players at a health risk - a risk of possible concussion– I feel we should send video clips to the SBC Commissioner and demand some changes in the ref- pool and how games are called. The double foul was really bad – I am not sure how you can have a double foul – that one alone could have cost us the game.

If these players want to go out of state to smaller schools and to programs that may not be in a bowl game next year - then it is their loss not ours – we will pick up someone bigger, faster and stronger and look forward to our great new coach taking UNT to new heights. These recruits may not get it - they are passing up a degree from the third largest University in the State of Texas with nationally know programs – when you snooze you lose – if you want to hear the really great positive news – come out to the signing day program on Feb. 1 – come out and find out the really smart recruits that get the great UNT opportunity.

Good eye – these are quotes – don’t watch movies any more -they just came to mind after reading this post last night. I am ready to see how we do against Denver this Sat. – this will be a very good game to watch. Keep on reading the classics. -

Facts do not cease to exist because they are ignored. The job of formal methods is to elucidate the assumptions upon which formal correctness depends. You can't escape the responsibility of tomorrow by evading it today. A common mistake people make when trying to design something completely foolproof is to underestimate the ingenuity of complete fools. -
Denver was 13-17, 9-7 last year and returns four starters, including the guard tandem of Chase Hallam and Brian Stafford, who accounted for 42% of the teams scoring. Under fifth year coach Joe Scott, the former head coach at Princeton and Air Force the Pioneers will be a formidable opponent. This will be a great game to watch and could come down to the last shot of the game.

Breaking news -- Chris Jones, Jordan Williams ineligible

Some of our Football players that are currently eligible played basketball in high school – they should have been asked for help – I know we have some players from small towns like Krum that are currently attending here that could try out for a walk on - now we have 9 players - we need 10 just to practice – remember the same problem last year – I agree what was said earlier about what the players have to do to get passing grades – if they really care they can get the help they need What went wrong – you have to start at the top – if it is not being handled there then it’s slipping all the way down the line. -

Yes – you can even say that the homer dome is working again this year for ASU – they were undefeated at home last year – now you know why – I am still not sure they got the last shot off in 2.5 seconds – that was a very quick look by the refs – I feel the refs took both games away from us tonight – the last shot has to be on sports center tonight

The girls played well enough to win - the refs took it away with ASU shooting 20 of 28 and UNT shooting 7 of 14 - twice as many foul shots - can you say homer dome!

McDonald was in his fourth season as head coach, but a 5-11 record -- and the resulting drop in home attendance -- led to his dismissal. Athletics director Ross Bjork said in a lengthy statement that he felt McDonald deserved the opportunity to "begin positive trends" after the Hilltoppers went 16-16 last season. However, he added that "the plan has not worked out." "We have a 5-11 record and do not rank in the nation's top 200 in virtually any statistical category. This is not what the WKU basketball program should represent," Bjork's statement said. "While we pride ourselves on having an energetic and exciting atmosphere in Diddle Arena, our attendance levels are reaching historic lows."

ASU was 17-15, 11-5 last year. John Brady was a two time SEC Coach of the year at LSU. Were he guided the Tigers to the 2006 Final Four and he has the Red Wolves on an upswing for this season. They were undefeated at home and shared the West Division title last year. Not sure we can beat them on their home court but we have a great chance during the tournament on a neutral court.

The Jaguars were 12-16, 6-10 last year – and have a lot of questions this year but a solid answer in sophomore center Augustine Rubit, the leagues freshman of the year last season. He was one of only two SBC players to average a double –double. A bit smallish for the middle at 6’6” and 235 but he still was the top rebounding freshman in the SBC and sixth in the country last season at 11.0 per game. This will be a close game but we have enough overall talent to take a win in this one.

Troy was 8-21, 6-10 last year – Don Maestri begins his 30th season as the Trojan’s head coach – he has won nearly 60 percent of his games and needs 20 wins this season to have 500 wins – that might be a tall order considering Troy returns only three players from last season. Don’t count this one in the win column yet but it is looking good.

A Look Back @ the 2011 North Texas Signing Class
Roadruner replied to Harry's topic in UNT Football Recruiting
I agree - we should be at least 7-5 next year - going to a post season game. -
That is because our players our standing there watching the ball in flight instead of looking at their man and getting in position to BLOCK OUT - the Zone works - it would be nice if we tried a 1-3-1 and did some trapping on the wing and create some turnovers of our own.

Yes - you would think you would see alot of that - it didn't seem to happen much- most of our points are still coming off on ball screens - LSU is just very talented and 2 deep at every position

SMU is June Jones Junck- cheaters and big time eaters of horse meat - their tailgates are blowing in the wind- sweep them aside like the nats that they are - we can beat them at anything -
