We can’t pitch our # 1 arm every game. No one does. She pitched yesterday, struck out 10 in dominating fashion and only gave up 2 runs and our bats came alive. Today coach rolled with our freshman who he is trying to develope but we just didn’t hit the ball despite facing a weaker pitcher. That’s just how baseball/softball goes sometimes. Any given day any pitcher can baffle a team. Against ULL,, Texas & OU our pitchers and bats showed up strong. We just have to learn to do it consistently. Rick

Tindal came in to relieve Thompson, faced a bases loaded no out jam and gets adouble play ball givingbup no runs,...but then gets the ground ball she needed to hold them to 4-1 but an error on shortstop gives up a run and continued the inning. Two unearned runs. Errors and walks are killing us right now. Rick

You just explained/answered your previous post as to why we’re not #23. Northwestern played that schedule because that’s their history to do so. They play a top non-con and play a top conference schedule every year and have won the Big 10 in their coach’ tenure. She and her twin sister have been there for like close to 20 years and are considered top coaches and are known for their great softball teams.. We’re just now starting a history of playing and beating top 25 teams. We just won our first conference championship. . We’re 26th right now.. That’s Unbelievably DAMN GOOD, especially in only RD’s second year. Gotta be patient, gotta support and gotta pray we keep up the winning. Our time is coming. Rick

What your missing though is Charlotte took it easy Sunday and only worked up a partial sweat knowing they had the eventual champ coming in three days later who would obviously be over worked, over stressed, over schooled and sleep deprived from jet lag due to the grueling 2 1/2 hour flight....knowing they had to beat us to gain a spot closer to a bye on Wednesday. Meanwhile...Charlotte had classes canceled Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday. Spent most of that time getting sleep and rub downs while being fed fruit and protein from Swedish virgins in order to get ready for our game. It’s a wonder we even scored 40 points? Rick

I was thinking opposite than most. Charlotte had something to play for last Sunday yet FIU drilled them by 15, in Charlotte. I figured we would go in there relaxed without any pressure and release the Kracken on ‘em and blow them out of their gym? Rick
