  1. Nope, no straw man here. Just a response to a question by C&TV HERE that asked... ...”Rick, any thoughts on Trump not closing off travel to Europe soon enough, because it's more likely that's where the outbreak in the Northeast US”.... Rick
  2. My mistake as I typed that off the top of my head and had corrected it before you responded.. The correct word in the directive is “Assumed”. Rick
  3. Researchers Predict Potential Spread and Seasonality for COVID-19 Based on Climate Where Virus Appears to Thrive https://www.medschool.umaryland.edu/news/2020/Researchers-Predict-Potential-Spread-and-Seasonality-for-COVID-19-Based-on-Climate-Where-Virus-Appears-to-Thrive.html Rick
  4. True. But what invalidates the (previous) current standing tracking system is the latest directive from the NVSS instructing all certifying officials to “Assume” Cov-19 and to go ahead and code the death Cov-19 for now. Is this common? With P&I coding do certifying officials usually “Assume”? If it is common then why did the NVSS have to send out that directive back on April 2nd reminding them to? Rick
  5. And due to spastic coding guidelines we have no idea how many have died of it at this time. Rick
  6. No,...I didn’t, but give limited credit to a statement we have no idea of its accuracy at this time. But I especially didn’t miss this part wich is more to what I was responding to.
  7. @greenminer linked HEREto the latest research done on representative sampling of antibody testing by USC and L.A. County Health that shows a 28 to 55 percent increase of persons with the antibody than the more than 7,994 confirmed cases.
  8. Ha...I’m honored to be considered for so much scrutiny. I thought you didn’t have time to go through that thread? I guess so, but you have a different understanding of what “Lost his It” means than I do....LOL! As for Trump, he’s been warning us about China since the 90’s. And he’s tried to restrict travel into the U.S. since year one. So how hilarious is it that the hypocritical left now thinks he didn’t do it soon enough. Not sure what else there is to say about that? Rick
  9. Yeah, for some reason I can only open it up if I go through Facebook? Sorry. Rick
  10. I already posted how Taiwan was able to get on top of it. Rick
  11. A misread by me? I admit your approach to humor or pointing out a fact using humor or sarcasm is tough to read some times. Rick
  12. She’s a CNN Anchor/reporter and many of her followers are actually celebrating this and hoping for more. Rick
  13. That someone’s mom is suffering from an illness is funny to you? Rick
  14. I thought of you @Pavlovs Eagle when I saw this. Parton’s Pizza on Cherry Ln, one of west side Fort Worth’s longest operating pizza joints is in trouble. I bet @UNTFan23 and @Censored by Laurie may remember them too? The folks are good people serving a wide variety of custom pizza and have always treated our department great. I’m hoping the community responds and they are able to pull out of this nose dive before it’s too late Rick.
  15. Taiwan, which is 81 miles off the coast of China, with millions of travelers between the two, many of which are working in China,.... has(now 420) total cases and only 6 deaths. If there was one place that should have been decimated it should have been them. As Taiwan shows, the antidote to the virus is freedom https://www.washingtonpost.com/opinions/2020/04/16/totalitarian-china-unleashed-virus-free-china-has-all-defeated-it/ Rick
  16. Not only did I NOT misquote anything in the original post as you accused me of doing,...I didn’t even comment on it in anywhere in the post. So how would you know what in fact I understand or not understand from it? Do you tell fortunes too? Rick
  17. Where? Show me what I placed in the quote box how it isn’t in the article and I’ll correct it. Rick
  18. And yet fact after fact is pointing towards that this looks more and more like it will be no worse than a bad flu season, only worse because we’ve placed 17-20 million people in unemployment as an intentional, direct result. Rick
  19. I’ve never even played an epidemiologist on TV but even I know it would be a catastrophically dumbass decision to place slightly ill people who also tested positive for Cov-19 in nursing homes like Italy did. Rick
  20. Oh shit what? I read it and that statement doesn’t change the point of the author’s opinion. Rick
  21. Influential Covid-19 model uses flawed methods and shouldn’t guide U.S. policies, critics say https://www.statnews.com/2020/04/17/influential-covid-19-model-uses-flawed-methods-shouldnt-guide-policies-critics-say/ Rick
  22. In early March Italy transferred patients who were positive for Covid-19 from hospitals to Nursing Homes? 😳 https://www.cbc.ca/news/italy-covid-19-outbreak-lessons-1.5517520
  23. I’m still looking at the Philippines. With an over crowded city like Manila and its density at 107,500 ppl per sq mile the entire country only has 5,878 cases and 387 deaths. Rick
