In that regard we are "lucky". We have Western Kensucky State just an hour and 15 minutes north. Even our volleyball matches are packed for the Goat Toppers.

Let me ask you this........ is there a difference between most hated rival team and most hated rival team's fans? For instance, I cannot stand the "team" North Texas, but have no problem with the UNT fans whatsoever-- all pretty much good-natured ribbing. On the other hand, no real hatred for the Arkansas State teams because we dominate them in almost every sport. But the fans (other than Arkstfan and a couple of others) are some of the rudest hands-down in the SBC. That said, for the combination of team and its fans------ has to go to Troy State.

I was damn sure glad when Booger was gone. Hard to believe he was so fast for that size. Wish he would've made it in the NFL. What is he doing now? The guy that he sacked in that video, Andrico Hines, is doing very well in the Arena Leagues (I think in Portland, Oregon or Spokane, Wa)

I have heard, do not know for a fact, that Denton and Murfreesboro are similar cities.......both with a nice downtown area and county square, both with big racetracks nearby, both being near large metro areas, both fighting to get pub over the BC$ programs in their respective states, both growing areas, etc.

It is not "official" yet. Still waiting on a couple of things to happen. But, you are right, it's about time I got my arse to Denton. I have not missed a helluva lot up until last year-- from MT's point of view. Is "Soundman" still around?

I have started a thread on our message board HERE asking for things to do, places to see, etc. I have never been to Denton, and it looks like a very good possibility we'll be driving out this weekend. There should be several of us coming. Thanks in advance !

I like Corso. He is one of the few who ever gives the SBC any love. Isn't he from Shreveport? I know that Corso gave us our one and only vote in the Top 25 a few years back, and predicted a win for us over Alabama-- we lost 39-34

In the event of a reshuffling, and both conferences "do" change their names, is their a penalty, i.e. automatic bid for hoops, etc?

I am just wondering.........if there is a split and recombination.......will there be some resistance on which to call the SBC and which to call Coosa? We all must admit that the SBC doesn't have that great of a "ring" to it on the national level, although I disagree (it's all just perception). We are considerred the "doormat" of collegiate 1-A football, whether wrong or right. If a reshuffling occurs, will BOTH conferences get a "new" name?

You say "potato", I say "potatoe". The possible shuffle teams will certainly want to go to Coosa, just because of the name. Even if they split both conferences down the middle, I would think the "Sun Belt" name would draw resistance. Maybe we can get the Belt going strong before a split occurs.
