I certainly saw an improved team today. I couldn't help but notice how much more comfortable and at ease Riley looked in the pocket and with the system than Vizza. He is a freshman who can make a difference immediately. He has quick reads and quick feet. He will be a pleasure to watch. If we get an improved performance from the defense like I believe we will, who knows how many we may win? Think of how much more depth and team speed we can roll out as well. It is not like the schedule is overwhelming. These are teams we can play with except Alabama. There is no reason we can't be in the other 11 games. Who knows at that point. What you see in a scrimmage is just a glimpse of what may be. Lets back the boys! GMG

I have seen some good comments about Carey and Brainerd. Is there any chance of either of them breaking into the WR rotation? I look forward to some of your comments. Was Brainerd a starting wr at Southlake? I hear he has some good wheels on him. GMG

I haven't seen the team practice. I do believe with all the new faces on the defensive side (transfers and freshman), that it will take a bit of time for them to gel. I just hope it comes sooner than later. GMG

Time will tell on that one Emmitt. It probably would be best to redshirt him. Who's to say he won't set the world on fire? More than likely he will be redshirted. I am anxious to see the type of competition he provides as a newbie. A good get nonetheless. GMG

Hold the wagons fellers. This deal is in its infancy. Mr. Hammons builds near universities. From what I read he understands that Denton is a good market to build IN. It will take time like the stadium. Unfortunately, these things don't happen overnight. It is in the very early stages, though. Keep the faith. GMG

Mean Green fans know we are going to get 1-2 of these games a year. It is the reality our program lives with. I am happy with the payday. I hope things will have turned around where we will be competetive in some of these games in the future. It is not games like these are a surprise.
