Is there a walk on period in the fall,well as the Spring? I remember that player that said he would walk on to UNT. Dale Hansen did a interview with him after the U of Houston had taken his scholarship away. We sure could use some more beef like his on the o line or d line. Any word on this? GMG

I think either dorms will go there, or there was made mention some possible retail going in that area. That would make for an exciting Saturday. North Texas Football and a hopping retail area is possible too. Anyone want to second that notion. GMG

As a Vikings fan, I have to chime in and say Yes! He was definitely a fierce competitor. GMG

I agree it's unlikely he would be offered a job, but we haven't had much success over the last 25 years. Johnnie has brought a bit of that. Looking at the difficulty of the job may be part of the equation for LSU. I do agree it may take another trip or two to the dance to make such a job a reality.

Are we able to add any more scholarships due to the players leaving?

There was an offensive linemen who was originally committed to the University of Houston. They had a coaching change when Art Briles went to Baylor. The offensive linemen had an injury and apparently had his committment pulled without his knowledge. His coach found out about this about three weeks prior to the national signing day. The reason I brought this up was because he said he would walk on at North Texas. I didn't catch his name. He must have been pretty well thought of to be a committment of the cougs. Sorry I didn't catch his name. Did anyone else see this report?
