I went to buy tickets for the October 11 game and the Ticket office was closed on a Saturday 9-20. That makes absolutley no sense to me. If we are trying to reach out to the buying public, shouldn't it be open? It also closes rather early during the week. They don't make it real flexible to those wanting to buy tickets who have jobs and have to drive outside of Denton. Any thoughts?\ GMG

Obviously, y'all must have forgot how far we had fallen when Dickey left. I, just like you wish this turnaround would happen overnight. It happens with time. Look for improvements along the way, and we can expect bigger things next year. Let us show something this world lacks much of and that is patience. GIVE DODGE TIME. It's what any college coach needs in turning a program around. GMG

Does no one else get excited to see our product sell in the marketplace? Just curious.

They have two racks of merchandise for sale on UNT stuff at Albertsons by the mall. YThey have one right near the video area. They have another rack near the middle of the store by one of their aisles(hair care products). I work there part time for some extra income for the family. They just restocked the aisle near the hair care products. I'm encouraged, as the stuff is selling. Just think the college students are about to come to town. I get excited to see the stuff sell, because not many places sell our stuff outside of campus, Walgreens or Sports Authority. Buy the product I say and they will stock UNT's stuff. GMG

Is that walk on Dale Hansen did a special on going to be on the team? I have not heard anything about him. GMG

I emailed Eric Capper about two weeks ago about it. He made it sound like the new roster will not be out for at least a few more weeks. GMG

You're going by last years weights. I would be suprised if alot of our youngsters haven't put on added weight. Don't forget to add DT Ross 290 to the two deep.

My pick is Cole at DE.

We need some belief here guys. Cole will fill one side and another player will fill the void. Perhaps there is time for another late signee. There is alot of untapped youngsters. I still believe in the Mean Green. GMG

I'm happy they are doing events like this. Yes, it could have been better organized and better advertised. I'm glad they're reaching out to the outerlying communities. Sad to say, but I would like to think groundwork is being laid for the development of fans outside Denton. Keep reaching out to others and getting a little success in our programs will bring fans. We are probably and sadly now just laying the groundwork. The future isn't written yet. That is why this years football season is so crucial to bringing some more excitement to the program. Lets pump up the program guys. Keep your heads up. GMG

Anyone see mo's comments here in the article?: North Texas could've gone to a more real conference four years ago with the WAC but AD Dick Villareal commits the most bone-headed administrative move in the history of the Sun Belt by actually deciding to remain in the least profitable, least-respected conference in the Football Bowl Subdivision and turns down a chance to play on the same field with Boise and Hawaii. I guess UNT just doesn't want to lose as bad to conference foes as they would an Oklahoma or Texas. The WAC would've presented a tougher challenge athletically.

Any more thoughts?

Sykes and Russo are my top to choices based on upside. What does anyone think about moving Charlie Brown to end and possibly playing the Celina kid at DT? Any thoughts to those more knowledgeable. GMG
