I still don't understand why UTSA can't be considered a rivalry. They are close, they have played us tough every time we have played them and back in 2013 they kept us out of the Conference championship game, played dirty as S and talked more smack that I can remember. It seems to me that it is just because they are a young program and some see them as beneath us which to me is ridiculous. Same song different verse with SMU. How is that not considered a rivalry game? They have intentionally f**ked us in the past in regards to conference, thumbed their noses at us and demeaned us as fans of this program. We are in each others back yard, play each other every year like we should and the "Safeway Bowl" is turning into my favorite game of the year. We all want rivalries but the two that are growing organically many of us downplay for one reason or another. You can't pick your family.... you can't pick your rivals either. Some things just happen.

For some reason I have very vivid memories of UTSA being quite the dirty team. Maybe it has changed under the new regime....

Jeffery Willson is a bad man... we can see that. He seems to have plenty of holes to run through as well. Is this line just really good at run blocking and bad at pass blocking? Are Jeffery Wilson and Willy Ivory just that good? How do we get this line to improve their pass blocking to the point where Mr. Fine can actually some time to throw the ball?

They are new to me. I don't ever recall seeing Danny Mac's mug plastered on an advertisement trying to get me to come to a UNT game.

Thank you for that. I feel a bit closer to the university and saddened at the loss of someone so young with such promise, even so long ago. What a brilliantly penned letter illustrating amazing respect for what seemed to be an incredible person. By the end of it i almost felt as though I knew the man myself.

I have been pondering the best things to be paying attention to this weekend with our team getting healthy and practicing against the Triple Option... So far I have the Cowboys to pay attention to against Green Bay and moving... fun weekend What does the Mean Green Faithful get into over the Bye Week?

I couldn't agree more. I love this staff's attitude of we are going to win every game. that seems to be the expectation and it doesn't matter to them what the roadblocks are. They aren't blaming Mac, they aren't blaming RV and they aren't blaming the students. They seem to be concerned about giving the students something to cheer about rather than expecting them to cheer first. This crew seems to know what comes first and I can't begin to express what a welcome change this is!

What a great step by the AD. I don't remember there being much if any outreach to the Academic faculty under the old regime. I like the idea, it gets the university involved with the university, the way that it should be and the way that it is at so many large institutions. Pride in the school comes from all over and if the faculty have pride in the school and the teams then that will rub off on the students.

The MUTS games have always been on my list of favorite games to attend. Always hard fought and competitive. I for one couldn't be happier to be back in a conference with them.

Which school does this better? I would have to say if the game was Twitter Uniform Announcements UNT wins hands down.
