  1. Yeah Johnny, we do, kinda.... If you don't have hope to hold onto then what is the point. it is entertaining and emotional to support a team and that is why you do it. boise St was not always good, neither was TCU but the past few years when they have pulle dthemselves together to play well and beat the odds their fans have had a great time. Most of us here want to feel that feeling and that pride. it is great that football played no part in your decisions to come to this great school and it wasn't part of mine either but I still enjoy it, am proud of it, want it to succeed and support it. you make some great points but I sincerely hope that you are wrong. Being a fan is more than just winning, that would be fun but it wouldn't be as satisfying.
  2. "One brak away from fantasy relavance" Back Handed Compliment? not that I mind...
  3. For some reason as I was re reading this thread i had visions of Mike Gundy yelling at some lady, I can't figure out why....
  4. Riley as a Wide Out? that is pretty interesting....
  5. PC did a good job in the preseason when he was with NE and he has done a good job for Miami on Sunday, he deserves a shot!
  6. I think that this whole thing is very interesting. It seems to me that the growing pains of our program are starting to hit home. We all wanted greatness when TD stepped in and we all said that we were willing to wait for it, but it is being more difficult than we thought it would be. The pain of LOSING 6 games already is getting a little annoying and frustrating. Therefor we are all looking for a scapegoat, coaches, players, fans, etc... It seems to me that when a coaching staff changes, and a philosophy changes as drastically as the one here at my beloved alma mata, then some of the players brought in to fit the previous system may have lost a little of their usefullness. Example for a music school, Just because Stevie Ray Vaugn was one of the best, if not the best BLUES guitarist does not mean that he is going to be one of the best CLASSICAL guitarists. Styles change and therefor so must personell. It is not intended to be a slap in the face for the older crop of players, it is simply trying to field the best team possible in a less than desirable situation. We are all here supporting the same team. We may not all agree on the decisions that are made or the people that are being played but we are all here for the same reason, to support our team and our school. We can, and should, debate what is going on. That is the best way to enact change and to be a part of something, but personal attacks towards anyone is childish and unproductive. Meager and all the other non freshman players all are here for an education and all play their hearts out, that should never be questioned. The same goes for the coaching staff. Questioning their heart and integrity is petty, childish and non productive. And frankly IMHO a slap in the face to the Mean Green Faithful world wide. my .02
  7. "One first down from the one yard line UNT quarterback Giovanni Vizza would throw a 7 yard sit down pass to Casey Fitzgerald. Casey would shake off Darius Battles and go 99 yards for the score. A flag was throw for a block in the back but was mysteriously picked up and waved off giving UNT a 14-0 lead" Mysteriously picked up? What does that mean? What happened?
  8. We will get it together. I really believe we will. Vizza looked good, the offense outside of the ints looked pretty good. JMo going out was bad but we made up for it well. GMG
  9. thats very true and possible more important a point than any other tonight. still promoting firemendoza.com
  10. down by 9 sucks, really really bad....
  11. firemendoza.com? anyone...Anyone...Anyone.... Buehler?
  12. i guess that is my original point, go with your gut in the beginning sometimes. If you jsut kick till the fourth then all you do is go by the chart. How different would this game look if we had gone for two and made it?
  13. That was almost a straight kick, i am truly amazed
  14. The chart is good, but dang it how many times is it wrong. Maybe coaching has to come from the gut not from a chart....
  15. i think i might see the err of my ways, down by nine sucks right now.... i didn't think things through i guess. but i still like dodge showing ocnfidence in his guys early
  16. We might get the defense together... maybe next year.... We all want to give Dodge a pass on getting his head in the college game, maybe Mendoza needs one too. Or maybe we never should have hired him in the first place.. i don't know
  17. yes because if we went for one and made it we still would be down by less than a touchdown.... I still don't see the logic in that. and once again let me reiterate..... our kicking game isn't exactly led by adam vinetiari i mean less than a field goal....
  18. has anyone ever started a fire the D coordinator.com page?
  19. his stats ar egetting better, but we need to get some stops, and not turn over the ball. i know that is basic but it is the fundamentals that are killing us. This defense is not good enough to force 2 picks! I know there have been three but do any of us count that last one....
  20. is that up for e brake of the week? good job George
  21. Got the stop! let's go O! GMG
  22. We just need a stop, our offense is looking good, and Jackson is picking up where Fitz is being double covered. I like having two recievers that people have to look for
  23. Touchdown Strickler.... er..... Stickler! and no, we shouldn't go for two
