That is what i call jumping off the bandwagon. No faith at all in Dodge huh? I see what you are saying about high school coach, blah blah blah. We had two wins last year and two wins this year, we didn't get any worse, except in defense, and we didn't get any better, except on offence. Now we get to start the improvement process. All coaches start somewhere, Dodge startedin College and then went to high School. big deal, he has the respect of every high school coach in the state and those guys words go a long way in helping their kids figure out where to play. you wanna jump ship after one horrendous season thats fine, you go ahead. Our alma mata deserves better than that. Responsibility does fall on the head coach and that to me is why RM should be reassigned, but to crucify Dodge after a year is insane.

I am still a big supporter of TD and think that he is going to do great things for us. however I think that his Mulligan season is over, the bar has been set now we have to raise it. All of us on here want the same thing, and so does Dodge. At the beginning of the season we were all saying the same thing, 2 wins, three wins, not many of us predicted much more than that. We got our wish, and Dogdge still hs our footbal team. He will be better next year and so will the team. If we do end up 2-11 again, then what happens then?

Those are interesting numbers, they say alot about where our school spirit is at the moment, and pride too. But that is what we are all trying to fix, that is what the great JJ is doing and TD too! We stay strong as loud and proud alums and , maybe throw a little winning in there to boot, we can be right up there on the top of that attendance list before we know it!

Still awesome, gotta love anything that gets us some national attention, in a good way that is.

And to think that these guys will do nothing but improve as time goes on! Bright future for UNT GMG

I have to say that at least Collinsworth adds a little bit of football knowledge into what he is talking about, Gumble adds nothing but suck.

Fair enough, but most of those old stadiums house teams that represent far more storied programs. Of course OU nad UT, and aTm, and those will have old stadiums they have had strong old traditions, we haven't. Besides that track sucks for watching football and our stadium resembles that of a really nice 50's high school stadium than a first rate, 1A college stadium. If we want to compete, image is really important

Fouts does look better, but really, does that really matter? it is an ugly old outdated stadium that has lived through its usefullness and beyond. The sooner we get a new one the better. i am a recent grad, 06', and even though my curent lack of funds is staggering i just donated to the cause. You can only make up something so many times before it gets old, it has gotten old. How many times have we gone to SMU, or TCU and seen nice, modern, stadiums and thought to ourselves how nice would this be?!?!?!?!?!?!? It is time to quit wishful thinking and do something about it, get out your checkbooks and donate, $10, $20, $1000, it doesn't F'n matter, just do it. Why don't we instigate some change!

Mendoza has to have something good going for him otherwise Dodge wouldn't have brought him here. Maybe he, like say a rookeie QB in the NFL, needs to ride the pine for a bit before jumping into the starter, or DC, role? Mendoza probably has a good amount of talent and intelilgence in regards to defensive football, the problem is that I think he is over his head and it is really showing with our defense this year. Put him as a LB or D line coach and let him learn under someone who has played to college game before.

Not panic button so much as it is cook-aid drinking. If you are right and he is not DC next year that is fantastic. but it seems to me that there has been no indication that he would not be here much less that he would change rolls on the the coaching staff. Honestly the way our defense has performed this year is laudable and almost embarrassing. The kids played their hearts out and that was obvious to anyone that wanted to watch, but the coaching did no justice to the effort they were putting out there.

How did we score? I am relegated to watching this thing on gamecast at the computer at work...

I am thankful for the growing respect that the metroplex has for our football program and the amount of support that we are gettting form everywhere. It seems that no matter where I go iI am meeting fans of other programs and instead of them saying, "UNT Huh? ok, so what team do you really support?" I am hearing , "you guys are one year away!" and, "I can't believe you guys have dodge, I wouldn't want to play you in a couple of years!" A huge difference and it sure is fun to bleed green right now! Happy thanksgiving everyone, be safe in your travels and enjoy your turkey induced naps!

It is honestly nice to wake up after the loss and not be livid at the defense anymore. They were put in horrible positions all night and they stood tough. I like seeing that improvement. I kinda want to hold an opponent to less than 30 though

Seems to me that the belt is a it to young to think about breaking it all up. Yeah thte extra money and exposure and all that will be nice if we ended up in cusa, which is they only place i think that we should move to if we move. But I believe that those things will come to the belt the more recognition that we get. To get that recognition we have to win though, beat our ooc rivals, gain respect on a national level, and the belt is just beginning to do that. As soon as we can show that there is quality then the coverage will come.

Sadly i feel that in reputaion, especially athletically, nationwide we are a small school. The fact that we have 30000 + students not withstanding.

Lets wory about what we are going to do when we get ther, when we get there. As for now we should be more concerned about actually getting there.
