As soon as we see the final list of our recruiting class all this pessimism will be replaced by unbridled optimism, we are all jsut hurting a little bit right now. We will get over it and be excited about next year very soon

As a recent grad, just over a year ago, as recently as 06 the girls were still fantastic. I think that is why i spent so long in school, I didn't want to leave! We do have some of the best looking co eds in al of tghe NCAA! no doubt! That is a great reason to come. I am such a Chauvinist........... sorry Also just as impiortantly, maybe more so, our acedemics are top notch, and we are developing great reputations nation wide in several up and coming diciplins, such as Hospitality Management.

I agree, This is a really low point for the entire Mean Green Nation, but for those of us that have stuck with this school and will contiue to do so, we have nothing but good things to look forward to! This season, no matter how painful now, will only make winning in the future that much better!

Again with the "big announcement" what the heck is it? I give up, there is no announcement. At least that way it isn't going to cause any additional curiosity for me.

Sun Belt is still pretty young and has no reputation yet. The conference, and hopefully us, needs to keep racking up those OOC wins and then we will get that second bowl tie in. Troy deserves it this year

Apparently if someone has a differing opinion from yours then we do not "100% support Todd Dodge"? Wow, thats mildly narrow minded. You have good points in regards to the special teams and interceptions, those are not Mendoza's fault, but he has to deal with them just like every other coach. Yes there was an abnormal amount of them but that in no way makes up for a 40+ points against average, that is disgraceful. I, like most of the people here have no problem with Dodge and Co. getting that first year as a mulligan, but that doesn't mean that there should not be adjustments. Our defense made very few adjustments all year hopefully we can learn from their mistakes. If our corners and safetys are slow, then we need to find a way to keep them a bit deeper and utilize more zone looks to keep recievers in front of the defense. Just one idea. I have to agree with Emmitt on this one to, I am but 25 years old and have been following NT football for about a decade now, maybe i don't know what 100% of what it takes to rebuild a program is, because i apparently haven't been around long enough, but I have the ability to observe things and say if it looks like S and smells like S then in pobably is..... I will let you finish that last one.

I have explaned my reasons for wanting him reassigned to a different position on this defense several times, and by saying that, I feel I am putting the responsibility on Dodge. It is his team, and by taking responsibility for it he is moving an underperforming piece to a position that he should be able to excell at. That to me is taking responsibility. the Peter Principal states that "In a hierarchy every employee tends to rise to his level of incompetence." Maybe RM has risen just past his, for the time being anyway. He needs to take a step back and then try again.

Reading that history lesson provided by FFr, I learned one thing, our defense sucked this year. If that is not the most obvious thing that anyone could say, I dont' know what is. Something really does have to be done.
