I think that if he can improve the defense to top 80 in his first year then most f us will be happy. top half by year two. If we can a chieve that then we will be unstoppable in sbc play

Wow, between you and Shop Mean Green I have learned more about this subject than I every thought was out there in the first place. Thanks. It seems to me that the problem holding up all of the exposure the NT should be getting is the schools administration, current, previous, future it doesn't really matter. We seem to be stuck as a University in a small way of thinking. But on the other hand it seems that CLC helps many universities make huge amopunts of products that are available from anywhere in the country.... Maybe what we are lacking is sales.... I don't really know what kind of demand it owud take to break us out of the funk that we are in with this material schwag that we are talking about, but essentially it will all boil down to supply and demand, this is a semi-capitalist economy after all.... I guess the question is what demand will it take for this to change.

I just want simple things, like to be able to see my alma mata's stuff being sold in the same little piece of cyberspace as Butler, and creighton...... There is really no reason that there are so many schools marketing themselves successfully and we can't seem to find even a mention of our logo anywhere outside of Denton County......

I keep forgetting that as a contributing alum now i have a voice, sort of. I think that i wil call the athletic dept. I never thought of that. Granted it probably won't matter mcuh but it is worth a shot.

Slow slow day at work.. Ths game will be a great distraction on the radio for me. There is only so much paperwork you can do at any given time. That bad part is the last time i listened to a Mean Green radio broadcast at work it was our last second football loss from that long touchdown. My assistant now makes certain that i keep myself composed during work..... good thing she isn't in today...

I can't imagine Butler or teams like that having more marketing punch than we do and I see their stuff more places than ours! I just think with the buzz about us right now it would be a great time to add a little punch to our marketing push...

I'll bet this has probably been discussed here before but i have a question about something that is really annoying to me. Why is it that seemingly every other div 1 school has their colors and logos everywhere and on sale, except us? is there a reason that our school refuses to promote itself via material schwag? That can't be good for us...

I don't know if 50% is really acurate. The bigger schools get beter recruits, 4* 5*, there is a reason for that. There is also a reason that they typically do better than most other schools. yes recruiting is a crap shoot but stoops at OU didn't build that program on dumb luck recruiting. The stars may not be always be acurate but i would venture a guess that the higher stars, 4 and 5, are typically better predictions of what a college athlete will be than 2 or 3 stars.

I liked the guy too, he seemed like a good player. I am not a scout or anything like that..... but he seemed to never stop trying and i liked that. He may be a little undersized but i am always for getting more db help.

Gotta agree, we don't know who we have tilll February. I don't believe it till they have signed. But the prospect is very appealing

If perception is reality, at least in the eys of the recruit, then we reallly need to be cognicent of the perception that the SBC holds among the top recruits that we are targeting. Winning is what it is all about but we need the horses to win. Lets not lose great recruits simply because their perception of our conference is negative. that is rediculous

Put up or shut up is right! This school has spent way to long not caring about it's athletic programs. If we want change, as we all do, and if we want to compete with the big boys, as we all do, then the most important thing that we can do, more so than arguing about stadium size, or coverage packages, or running backs, the most important thing we can do to achieve all of our goals is to figure out how to change the overall apathetic cuture surrounding UNT athletics!!!! At that point we won't have to argue over if 40,000 is to big, we will change that to argue about if 40,000 is big enough!!
