Without the hyperbole, it is a pretty good question... -

Hell yeah it is republican spun, have you ever listened to mark Davis? Also I dont think that MD is a Palin cheerleader, more just making red tinted observations. On his show he is often outspoken about the drawbacks os Sarah Palin and he is quite frank about the hurdles she is going t have to overcome. Like it or not she is a large figure looming in the red landscape. I don't particularly care for her, but I don't dislike her either. I do want a good explanation as to why she quit though. -

Great opinion piece by a pretty smart guy in my opinion. Sarah Palin's political possibilities, as viewed by Mark Davis -
There are many athletes who have grueling training regimens, that does not in itself create the greatest athlete of all time, who doesn't remember hearing about Jerry Rice, Hershal Walker, and the like with their grueling training and lust for physical fitness. Jerry Rice defies age with his workouts -NYTimes I would say that considering the physical demand of Boxing that Muhammad Ali, or even better the greatness of Jack Johnson might have something to say about that. Golf is the greatest sport ever because it alows for drinking and exercising at the same time... Sports are exercise right?

We will see, we did beat them in the playoffs remember. I think the RJ move makes the Spurs a much stronger team and with a healthy Manu they are still going to be good, however if this move if it happens means the mavs are trying to keep up and that is a welcome change in my opinion. Don't close the book on the mavs yet, it is a long off season and some more things are going to happen.

That is a good point about Bass, but every team needs that grit and hustle guy. I think that he might have something more than that though. Or I could just have a bit of my homer glasses on. -
I don't know but there are many many athletes that have dominated a sport, Muhammad Ali comes to mind, Roger Federer, Barry Sanders, Tiger Woods, Michael Shumaker... There is a pretty good list of people who have absolutely dominated their individual sport How about Bo Jackson, he did everything... I will say that Lance has just about the best story out of all of them though.

Perhaps I have been a touch short sided... I don't see us sitting on Damp this year to try and get to next year, I see us trading those guys which is going to heap contracts on top of us and drive us ou of that market again, but this time with trades... I guess that is the same effect isnt it? I am looking frward to getting Damp off the books, and Stack, and even Josh Howard. I guess either way we get to do something with the roster, so essentially it is the same right? Then that leaves us with trusting Nelson and Cuban to make good trades and not go get Tariq Abdul Wahad, Wang Xhu Xhu, Raif LaFrentz, Calvin Booth, etc..... -

We have been so far over the cap for years now. Our luxury tax number is amazing, only the Knicks make us look frugal. NBA Salary Cap, chart is on the bottom Dallas Mavericks Payroll for the Next few Years 2010 Salry Cap may Drop to 57 Milion Basically we are going to have around 7 Million in Cap room next year, assuming that we don't give Marion decent money. I don't think that we are going to have a dime to play with next year, the 2010 free agency bonanza is going to pass us by, remember we still have to resign Dirk, and that is going to be more than a $21 Million proposition because he is a restricted free agent next year... -

I think Bass wants the mid level exception... We have upped our offer to 3.5 Mil but there are a few other teams looking at him. I do not want to lose Bass, he is the best piece that we have under the age of 30... If he goes then we are going to be the laughing stock of the league in three years and we will have to go back to reunion and wearing those old green unis -
I don't really care how well he did last year, when you lead the league in strikeouts, by a wide margin, you lose the god faith you built the year before... It is a what have you done for me lately league right? Ian Kinsler is not in the same type of slump, i have faith that he is going to come out of it and I don't have the same faith in Davis
