  1. I had glasses and contacts. At first the switch to contacts is annoying but once you figure out how to make the plastic senses comfortable they prove to be far superior than glasses, at least to me. I don't like the limited field of vision that glasses provide, and I enjoy being able to throw away the contacts and not worry about them if I were to lose one, tear one, etc. In the end thought i got the Lasik, and it is incredible. Bionic eyes I tell you.
  2. Yes it is, I just went back to look at it and that guy made me laugh
  3. Corvette powered blender..... there you go, thatll make a good rita!
  4. after Ball St. Win
  5. Great Job! That was an awesome highlight video. I think that is going to be watched again and a again... And Riley's throwing the talons, awesome. Great to see the pride!
  6. Big ditto on that one! If there are any links up to that segment I would love to ee it also.
  7. More Ice is very important the problem is that ice waters down the flavor, alc content etc. The trick is to put your tequila in the coldest part of your freezer and pur only liquor that is -78 degrees into the blender. That will help the ice to maintain consistency, at least for a few minutes. I guess after the second one it doesnt really matter anyway though. Besides margaritas on the rocks are better anyway
  8. The WR out of bounds was a bad call, there were a few other calls that sucked, it seemed that we were lucky to get anything called our way. I think we not only beat Ball St. but we beat the refs too. And you know what, it doesn't matter because WE WON!!!! btw, perhaps the oob wr non call was a make up call for the ref getting in the way of the wr the play before.... now that was funny!
  9. Big Ditto here. It was a great group ther, lots of fun and lots of noise!
  10. Not condoning it, but it was a petty good punch!
  11. Is pretty loud in here too
  12. Is pretty loud in here too
  13. E girlfriend out here decked out in mean green gear! Great turnout so far. Go Mean Green!
  14. I got fancy, and a little drunk at the state fair two years ago, and I bought a Vita-Mix. The thing is amazing, it will boil water, make peanut butter from raw peanuts, the damn thing is so fast it will even turn a tire into liquid ... something! Absolutely amazing for Margaritas and other sissy summer drinks etc. Unfortunately while making those summer drinks between myself, my brother, my gf and my father we apparently lifted the pitcher up to fast and too often while the gears were still turning... we stripped the damn gears. Now all i have is an expensive noise maker that takes up way to much space. I keep thinking i can fix it but I can't find parts and it really isn't worth it is suppose... I miss that thing.
  15. I am there with the GF and a buddy, then my old Room mate and his girl are meeting there too. I am hoping to get some office folks there to help cheer on the Mean Green, though it is going to take a few more minutes of work... Long story short count us in for a 3 spot at kick off and a 5er by half time
  16. Nothing wrong with being excited, and I am not worried about Tobe being a "pre-Madonna"... Like there were even entertainers before Madonna Come on.. Tobe is a focused player and is as good as we have, he has proven himself to me.
  17. Thats fantastic, Congratulations!
  18. Norm Hitzges just mntioned that he thinks the UNT could pull an upset!... I like it when Norm says things like that because he gambles so much, he might have a good idea... Good pub is needes even in small doses!
  19. I would like to follow that with a big AMEN! I am in all my Mean Green Glory, that is appropriate for work of course, I will be at the fox and hound in Dallas on Midway with the GF trying to indoctrinate her into the cult that is Mean Green Football, any help would be appreciated! GO MEAN GREEN
  20. Holy crap! My entire world has just come crashing down aroundmy feet witht eh knowlege that thehere is a Romulan encyclopedia on line.....
  21. Thanks for that, I wish I could have seen that. it i always nice to see the alma mata on TV
  22. at the racetrack by 35 south of campus, near the awkward fork in the highway, we found Milwackie Beast Light for 3.99 a 12 pack. OOur fridge was overflowing with the light beast and since then I have not been able to touch the stuff. But for a college kid it was like finding gold. That and Bud Ice 40's. Those are good too. And at the beer barn you can get a case of 12 for around $20. Not a bad deal if you ask me. Then you get to play Edward 40 hands, which I don't recommend.
  23. Romulan actually. Klingon was to easy
  24. It is a pretty interesting idea, they utilize association instead of book learning. The grammar takes a while to get but it comes along and relatively quickly. I unfortunatly need the program in a language that they do not currently offer...
  25. I always liked the way the daily covered most things during my tenure there. I don't really like the extra coverage of the editorials written by the dude from auburn that didn't like our stadium, but I would be interested to see how many other well written pieces came in touting the other side while that was going on.... Not trying to support that guy or his opinions but the NT Daily has consistently been a good if not great paper. Apologies if they have not always been cheerleaders for the athletics dept, but there is only so much you can ask. We are not OU therefore our paper is not beholden to the $$$$$$$$ coming from the football program. UNT has constantly produced some of the best journalists / broadcasters in the modern media, there has to be a reason for our success. It sucks that they are not apologists for our teams and it sucks more that they don't support them during the hard times like you would expect a good school paper to do. Don't worry about that, when winning starts again the paper will come around, they did, at least a bit during my tenure, during the Dickey years and they will again. Don't forget the radio coverage and true green homer-ship that the Green Guys used to display.... We have pride here fellas, don't despair.... The Daily is a good paper and it is not a handle of the athletic department, good for them. I would love to see more favorable coverage towards the football team, lets earn it first before we get frustrated though OK?
