This was an incredible season... I enjoyed it all summer which is more than I could say about the last decade of baseball in this town. But there is only 1 wild card spot per League... Next season is looking good

We were playing from behind which can lead to gaudy numbers, we seemed to play like a good team in the second half from what I can tell. They played a better hurry up game than us in the first half ... It was just a difficult day all in all. We have been killing ourselves in both the Ohio game and this one with turnovers, preventable mistakes... eliminate even half of those and we are 3-1. Preventable mistakes

I do too, but I am not sold on Quinton Ross, with him and Kidd on the floor you have very little scoring threat from you back court and the only players on the floor at that point that you concern yourself with is Dirk and Howard. So for the first 5 minutes of the game we would have very little scoring options and a moderate defensive improvement in the back court to show for it. That and I don't think that the Matrix has any desire to come off the bench just yet.

As long as it is expandable should we start seeing improvement and success then we are in a good way. We took care of that by making it expandable to 50K ish... When we aren't filing up a 30k Fouts more than 2/3 why would we want to build an even bigger place so that we can fill it even less. 28-30K is a good starting size and the drawings look incredible, we are going to have one of the best looking stadiums in the conference let alone the mid majors. Lets enjoy the new stadium, not bitch about the shortfalls of it. Any success that we get we will earn, any new conference we will get into will be by our work, whether that is good or bad will determine what level we are playing at. It is the middle of the season. look at here and now, lets forget about the peripherals until we get through this thing, and I still believe it is going to be a pretty good season.

Starting all over again, same excuses that we have ahd for two years, he needs tme... these aren't his guys... we just need to wait... This was only game 4. we have 8 games left. Lets play these out and then see where we are.

There are things that need to be done in order to keep the country safe, sometimes they are not good, but the fact of the matter is that they work. I am not saying I agree with all things patriot act or water boarding or whatever. What I am saying is that the world isn't a nice place in general, and if certain tools are effective in keeping us safe then perhaps we might need to think about ways to use them. I am very happy that our Intelligence community is able to find these guys, that is two in this month alone that we know of... the guy on Sept 11th in NY and this guy. The truth is that we need give our intelligence guys and girls our support and the tools that they need to do their jobs. We don't need to be second guessing them. If they do illegal things then lets prosecute them, or the people that gave the orders, the first time we hear about it not years later when it fits a certain political agenda. We need to let our people do their jobs without looking over their shoulders. We have an incredible intelligence community, with good people, god tactics, incredible information and one of the hardest jobs I can think of. Congratulations to them for keeping us safe for the past 8 years. Congratulations to them for finding these guys this month and the untold numbers of crazys just like them over the past several years. Lets hope they can keep it up!

Mavs Roster Outside my presumed starting five of: 1. Kidd 2. Howard 3. Marion 4. Nowitzki 5. Dampier Which I think has the potential of being one of the most effective starting line ups in the game assuming everyone stays healthy, we have absolutly nothing. Our bench rotation of 9 at this point include: 6. Terry 7. Gooden 8. Barea 9. Thomas At this point who do we have to cover the 5 when Damp gets his inevitable 3 fouls in the first quarter? Gooden? If so then who covers for Dirk when he needs to rest? Tim Thomas? Shawne Williams? Kris Humphries? please.... This is were Orlando screwed us, we needed Bass this season, Gortat would have helped too but those ships have sailed. Perhaps I just don't know these new players enough or haven't seen them on the court yet but Thomas is getting old and has always had an attitude problem, I am afraid that Marion will be the same way but hopefully pairing up with Dirk in the front court might reinvigorate his game that he seems to have lost over the last couple years. We have very little promising youth on this team. I am not buying Quinton Ross yet as anything but a slightly above average defender, perhaps he can keep Kobe from putting up 50 and limit him to only 45. Beaubois is an unknown and at this point there is no faith in the Mavericks ability to draft anyone. The only decent draft pick that I can remember over the past 5-6 years has been Howard. At this point I am afraid that we are one injury away from a Charlotte Bobcats type of season, the depth just isn't there past player no. 7. Some one give me something positive to look at here I jsut can't find it.

There are no teams on the remaining schedule that we cannot beat. We should be competitive in every game. Our defense is lightyears better than last year and our offense is looking balanced and controlled If we stop making freshman mistakes and throwing to the wrong team we wil be fine. I am optimistic for this year.

I have to agree, there is no reason for us to expect that only 2 teams on our remaining schedule are beatable for us... Rodge is the real thing, but he is showing his fresmanness... The kid is good and will prove it as we go along. I will not be surprised if we end up with a .500 conference record and MUTS goes on and wins the whole thing. Our record over the past many years has sucked and we are all wanting something better we are all tired of this crap. It is coming, no one on this board can honestly say that we are not a much more talented team now than we were 3 years ago. Good things are coming and we saw how this team could play at Ball St. Lets keep our chins up and not admit defeat to early. We are only 4 games in... Its not over yet

I wouldn't be surprised if we had some pretty big statements like that in 2003 about our defense. We were pretty awesome, but despite our top 5 defense ranking that year could you realy make statements like that? At least we had that #3 ranking that year, I don't think MUTS will get there with the offense they are throwing out there.

Have him walk around the sorority compound, that would help...

Hell, if Ark St. is looking then we should too. But with Todge being a stickler for good character guys, then I don't know how he would feel about this one. Off the field issues earlier, getting better as time is going on, could be an interesting dichotomy. I would be interested to see what he has to say on the kid though.
