  1. Fire Wade and place Jason Garrett as the Interim HC. That way we get to see what he's got with no strings attached, we aren't going to get a HC with a resume in the middle of the season anyway, and at the end of the season you can fire Garrett to and replace him with someone that knows that throwing to your 4th or 5th receiver when he is covered by the other teams best corner is a bad idea when you have the best TE in the league.... And certainly we can replace him for with someone who knows that you shouldn't be doing that in the end zone, with no time left and definitely not TWICE!!!!! The whole thing needs to go, and we need to start by getting rid of Wade.
  2. Hits home a little bit.............. very true, and very important.
  3. #132 huh? I suppose I can deal with that.
  4. trying to convince the gf to come with... we will see how that goes, she still doesn't understand American Football or my fascination with it.
  5. Very interesting, well thought out and quite timely. Maybe some folks will listen to his logic.
  6. Editorial form TIME on this Nobel Prize
  7. This experiment absolutely fascinates me, I am really looking forward to what we will find there.
  8. Obama has a chance of doing some good things such as reducing the number of nuclear weapons and he as already made good progress on that front. But this is incredibly premature and I think that CMJ makes a good point, this is a slap to the Bush administration which was not looked upon favorably in many place across the world. I found two things that were really interesting to me in the article, and I didn't think that you got this award for having promise, that would be like awarding the New England Patriots the Lombardy Trophy in 2007 just because they were the consensus pick for Super Bowl Champs that year. Also I don't feel any safer when I travel abroad now than I did two years ago or four or 10. That's not really an issue that I have experienced, personally I think that s a random talking point that doesn't really hold water unless you are traveling to someplace you shouldn't be in the first place, and those places are still dangerous now even though Obama is in charge. Disapproving talk about our government or country from people as I travel to their country is not particularly threatening nor dangerous 99% of the time. I might take issue with them on their opinions and in truth they are pretty informed about what happens over here but they do not have the basis of knowledge that comes form living here and seeing it first hand. I enjoy having these conversations over a beer in a pub, or a campfire on the side of a mountain because I learn things about their countries and other social structures that I never would have known or in many cases even thought about. It is fascinating, educational and helps me to develop a better world view than I would have otherwise. I was in Nairobi Kenya in the first part of January 2008 when they were going through the election crisis and marshal law had broken out, that was dangerous and I did not feel safe there, but that had nothing to do with our sitting President at the time or anything else over here. We are not that important.
  9. 21-14 UNT, Good defense on Saturday.
  10. Just another stupid thing for us to bicker abot that actually has no baring on life, politics, the world or anything else... It is funny that this has never happened for any other of the presidents that SNL has lampooned, but really, if you think that SNL is the proper place to get your political information then you are probably are not the smartest person ever anyway.
  11. I actual laughed... really... I love the onion... best fake news anywhere
  12. I told those numbers at least twice to watch out who they were hanging out with.... I blame the fractions, if they hadn't come around none of this would have happened...
  13. This is the perfect parallel to NT football. We all knew that the Rangers had fan support but after thirty plus years of suck that fan base had decided to move elsewhere, or not waste their money on a loser. Once they started winning guess what, the fans came back. This is what is going to happen when UNT fields a good team and puts them in a new stadium. Busting at the seams is the prediction I am making... Back to the rangers though.... What a great year, who would have guessed that the Rangers are the toast of the town this year over the Cowboys? What a great ride and I for one cannot wait until next season!
  14. Riley is going to be just fine, I think that given time we will see some Romoesque qualities in him. Well, back when Romo was the toast of the NFL making consecutive Pro-Bowls and leading the league in passing categories and setting Dallas Cowboys records galore... I was pissed about yesterdays game as much as everyone else, and Romo looked horrible again... Wade should be gone by halfway through the season and Jason Garrett should be the coach for the second half so we can fire him too and get Shanahan or Couher (sp) for next season and the future. As for Riley, the kid has talent, there is no denying that. We need to give him a minute or two to get his feet under him and it looks like he is doing that pretty quickly. We will see next week
  15. Optimism uninhibited by truth or observation.... Homer-ism, thats me I guess. If we don't throw picks we have a chance against anyone in the Belt, especially with the improvement of our defense over last year.
  16. Great win for UAB!
  17. Interesting statistics... Murder Rate in NY plunges compared to other major cities, including Rio... Chicago: 16... Yeah, Wikipedia sucks but it is sourced from the FBI so who knows... Will hosting an Olympics there lead to the deaths of tourists, or the cleaning up of a crime ridden city?
  18. When we beat U La LA we won't have to worry about it
  19. Basically we need to focus on the game of football. And everything that entails... Good plan
  20. Patience is something has been gone around here for a long time. We don't have time to give Riley time, it has been to long already. ...... bleh bleh he still has 2/3 of this season left. Lets see how we feel about him then. It is amazing, he is the highest touted recruit that we have ever had come through this school and some of us are talking about him like he was an awkward 3rd string High school Freshman... come on!
