  1. Pardon the music, but I want one of these. The future of portable computing
  2. I think that works for pretty much every game, but yes, convincing and low TO.
  3. NT goes down by two scores early and loses interest, straw breaking the camel's back and Dodge era ends in a whimper ASU 31 UNT 13, another missed PAT
  4. What I don't understand is, unless these scientists are on the take from somewhere, why the hell would they create a conspiracy or a coverup? Why would they lie about all of this when they don't have anything to gain? These guys are not politicians.
  5. I click on his email link and it takes me to Mary.hardin@unt.edu.... Who is that?
  6. I like the reassignment idea, that makes the most sense out of everything. Also, how the hell do you get extra money from the university? We all know that almost all boosters that are giving to the team has already given to the stadium so that well is probably pretty dry...
  7. All of this speculation and nothing really concrete. A bunch of blame on a kicker... Rudy, you are right, we really do need a win. On the other hand, I don't see what a coach has to gain by saying that he doesn't know if he will be here next year, that sounds to me like a guy who has seen the writing on the wall. If RV has mad a decision that the rest of us don't know about yet then he sees the opportunity cost of firing Dodge vs sitting it out as to great to pass up. If RV thinks that winning is going to bring more attendance, attention or money then we can save by living with Dodge another year then who can blame him for making the move and taking the risk of the lost cash. I haven't really been able to take a side on the Dodge thing, I think that for the most part I have thought that this year looked substantially better than the last two and the with another year we might start seeing some progress. But after reevaluating the coaching decisions and seeing the justifications and descriptions of the bad coaching decisions from the last two weeks I think that I might be starting to settle in the Dodge has to go camp. I still think that he has the recruiting touch, our talent level is so much higher now than it has been in years, I also think that he has a great feel for the offensive side of the game. I just am having a hard time figuring out why the in game coaching thing hasn't come along with experience like we all hoped it would after the first year or so. Thsi is going to be an interesting off season and I am looking forward to seeing what happens on Monday November 30th. IF, if RV has made a decision then he should probably have a replacement in mind right? Vito makes some interesting points in his most recent blog post about the cost of getting rid of Dodge. There are options and possibilities out there for lowering the cost and he discusses several. That doesn't mean that it isn't going to be expensive though. What is GB's take on the situation i wonder?
  8. I don't know why, but I keep thinking he is a sr. As a junior in Tune, I don't feel so bad about that idea.
  9. Who plays QB next year?
  10. In another thread it was mentioned that it seemed like TD was coaching this game like it was his last shot. Indecisiveness during the time out about the FG, refusing to go to Lance until it was to late etc makes it seem like tonight might have been a make or break game, that might also explain why he sounded so disturbed after the game.
  11. I don't know how I feel about changing the HC, more and more I am leaning towards removing him from that position but I am not firmly in that camp yet. I AM however, firmly in the camp of keeping Riley as QB. The Riley and Dunbar show has a chance of being fantastic for many years to come. Besides, who do you think is going to be be QB for us if Riley moves to reciever? Also, with the new transfers coming in next year and the guys that we have seen step up this year we are pretty stacked at that position and Riley, as talented as he is, is not as good a reciever as those guys. We need him on the field and as a QB I an convinced that he is the best we have right now. Better play calling might help with the turnovers, the 1 first down run for Lance in the first half is a stat that I can't ignore....
  12. kinda helps if your qbdoesnt throw so many picks or if your recievers aren't fubling all over the place or if your kicker can hit an extra point, or if your line can block for a field goal etc etc etc etc etc etc.... Other than poo clock management with the two time outs at the same time before they decided to try for the field goal the loss here is not on the coach but on the players.
  13. I am too. Our defense was invcredible today, some turnovers would have been nice but other than that they were awesome. Deloach was on the field and not in the press box, they were hitting, they were agressive and they stopped army all reaking day. Turnovers killed us for the unpteenth time this year..... It makes me sick. Riley needs to learn really quickly... He had a good game outside of the turnovers, but that doesn't really help anything now does it...... Quit trowing into double coverage!!!! quit throwing to recievers that are already running out of bounds, who also happen to be in double coverage!!!! So frustrating@!;laksdf;lk ngahl;asdhlk;
  14. I am heading up to the game does anyone know where I can find one ther? Or does any one have an extra couple I could buy? Pm me or respond here, either one works for me! Thanks in advance, and GO MEAN GREEN!
  15. Trying to convince the girl to go.... hopefully we will both be there tonight,
  16. Why should congress care about little things like the constitution... unimportant and over rated..... Funny stuff... Constitutionality of the draft is easily found by reading article 1 of the Constitution, Article 1 section 8. Perhaps the Constitution should be required reading for our elected federal officials
  17. "I want you to make a fist... but we aren't going to teach you to punch people, we think that a slap is better"
  18. I feel.... so... ashamed that I actually watched the entire movie... how sad
  19. My sister in Law is an ARMY Dr. and her requirements after med school and the Academy is in the range of 15 years after she finished med school. That ends up being almost, if not 20 total years in the military. I would imagine that is a pretty good return on investment for the military.
  20. Arguing semantics. Clever and entertaining, however in this case not really relevant.
  21. I sent this editorial by Mark Davis, published yesterday in the DMN, to my brother, an ARMY Ranger Captain who is currently deployed, as the Company Commander of a combat group, in Iraq at the moment. What follows is his take on the current situation and the reasoning behind the government and military reaction that has come under such scrutiny, well deserved in some cases. Should the government be chastised for not identifying this loon earlier? Was it even possible? Was it a terrorist act and if so should it be labeled as such? What are the international implications in doing so?
  22. Not war... a Congressional authorized extended military engagement, or two. Public Law 107-40 To authorize the use of United States Armed Forces against those responsible for the recent attacks launched against the United States. Public Law 107-243 To authorize the use of United States Armed Forces against Iraq. Neither are formal declarations of war, but I would not be surprised if our beloved Military looked at the current state of affairs as "War Time" and treated it as such. Besides UCMJ will dictate the punishment anyway, this was a military crime committed by a military officer. I do not envy him no matter what his punishment will be.
  23. Lets go get Jimmy Johnson... I bet Miami didn't pay him much back in the 80's... he could look at it as a raise
  24. The funny thing about those 80's Fox Body's and F Body's was that the fastest, stock vs. stock, didn't come from a v8 at all! It came from the 1998 Firebird TTA, a turbocharged V6! I always thought that was entertaining. The LT1 and LS1 motors quickly gained an aftermarket following that almost rivaled the 5.0's of the time, in fact naturally aspirated and with not much more than a upgraded intake manifold, some computer work, MAF, Thermostat and a custom designed true dual exhaust (pipes bent by yours truly) I was putting 401 on the ground in my 2000 SS Camaro. As for those cop cars, the Camaros would scare the hell out of you when you saw them behind you and you were hauling a**, I would have a hard time being frightened by one of the Chargers because most of them seem to be made with that anemic V6 that they put in everything.
  25. This is my fear too...
