  3. http://sports.espn.go.com/dallas/ncb/columns/story?columnist=macmahon_tim&id=4978345 sorry posting from an iPhone in the new Orleans airport. No links for me... Great article though!
  4. ThatFly like an Eagle hasn't sounded this good in a long time!
  5. Go Mean Green! See you tomorrow Troy!
  6. Tramiel out with a Cramp, how is Josh after that collision?
  7. Kntu .com. Thank you for coming through for me!
  8. We need a run quickly. Come on Mean Green!
  9. I like seeing the aggressiveness around the basket, Josh taking it to the hole, TT banging away down there. I like that kind of play against a team that lives by the 3. Keeping getting these high percentage shots if you can.
  10. Great move by Josh White being in the right place for the rebound and taking to the hole!
  11. gotit to work, but it is sketchy at best, butI like seeing us with the ball up 14-13!
  12. I thnk I figured it out, but I can't stop it. Automatic corporate mandated backup procedures..... crap. it says there is 5minutes left, and on this machine that means 45.....
  13. Allright this sucks. My hotel's internet speed isn't fast enough to stream the game!...... Crap! I get sound for 2 seconds and a jump in video and thats it. Hopefully I can figure this thing out or get some faster internet. If not you guys enjoy the game and Go Mean Green! He we come finals!
  14. besides, she gets paid very well for the rest of her life, she might as well stay home and watch her grand-kids grow up.
  15. It is interesting that Dickey only ended up on one person's list, granted it was on both sides of the list but I digress. I am not an oldtimer, not yet, but when I was at school the joke was that we were going to the "Darrel Dickey Invitational" not the New Orleans Bowl. I don't care how much we might dislike the guy as a person or dislike his comments or attitude we can't ignore his success on the field. Overall losing record is a bad thing... yes... but 4 conference championships in a row is a great thing. I have to put him on the top 5 list for that. It might not have been the most entertaining football but we had some great players and a bunch of winning to celebrate. My favorite memory on campus was charging the field after beating NMSU to win the conference in 2002 and the heading to New Orleans for another win. good times. I can't comment on anyone else other than Johny Jones and Hayden Fry with any amount of intelligence... sorry
  16. So.... where does NT golf practice? No more Eagle Point so..............
  17. Only because there is no "punched in the gut" smiley we need baseball here.
  18. I've been looking around and it looks like most people are picking WKU to win the whole thing.... I'm not really excited about the possibility of playing them, but the only team in the tourney that can beat UNT is UNT. we have to get our minds right and actually start out strong in the first half. It is going to be a great tournament that ends up with UNT makin some noise in the NCAA's!
  19. Maybe I have missed something over all the frustration involving games Thanksgiving Weekend, we are away the weekend before Thanksgiving which I think is a great thing, but will the kids come home early for the Kansas State game? will this timing have an impact on that game's attendance? I know I am going to be there... what do y'all think?
  20. GMG Tailgate is a great idea! We need to get some people out to that spring game! I have never had the pleasure of attending, at least not after graduating. It would be great to get a couple thousand out there to cheer them on during that game. Heck, we could even advertise it using the new "Fouts Last Stand" logo!
  21. Perhaps as a logo on the uniforms, signage in the stadium and around campus. They have been putting up billboards all over town and they need to try and drive traffic north for games, perhaps they use some of that billboard space. There are plenty of things they can do with the logo. Will any of it make a difference? That is the real question I think.
  22. All this talk of our new WR coach and our new OC got me thinkin, what is the difference between our old staff and our new one... 2007 Coaches: HC: Todd Dodge OC: Todd Ford High School wizard and current High School HC. Career highlight were record breaking offensive seasons for NT in 07 and 08 DC: Ron Mendoza DC at Southlake before 1 season here and currently he is........ Special Teams: Robert Drake HC coach for 17 seasons at Southlake before joining the Mean Green in 2007 Running Backs: Shelton Gandy Has done a fantastic job with the runners hee at NT, helping Lance Dunbar to national acclaim in 2009 Wide Recievers: Clayton George NT Alum and helped turn Fitz into one of the best Mean Green players of all time. Defensive Backs: Butch LaCroix Spent 13 seasons away from football to take over a defensive backfield that really needed help Off. Line: Spencer Leftwich 2nd time around here at NT and a good amount of FBS experience including time at Tulsa. The offensive line is one of the Mean Green's strong points going into the 2010 season Safeties: Chuck Peterson One of the most experienced staff members of the originals, 17+ seasons as FBS including stints as OC at Air Force Defensive Ends: David Rausch A very young coach, he spent time at Hardin Simmons and OSU before coming to the Mean Green 2010 projected coaches HC: Todd Dodge New Coaches ---- OC: Mike Canales Very experienced OC with time spent in the NFL. Helped to build USF from a startup school to a BCS power quickly DC: Gary Deloach The architect of arguably the best defense in NT history, made great strides in overall defense since his return Corner Backs: Carlton Buckles 3 Seasons at NMSU prior to arriving at UNT Defensive Line: Mike Nelson 40 years as a coach including 29 as a defensive line coach at places like Virginia, Ball State, Wisconsin, Missouri, Kansas State, Stanford, Rutgers, Oregon State and Iowa State Strength and Conditioning: Charr Gahagan 8 years working at USC, considered one of the up and coming strength coaches in the nation and fills a huge hole for the NT football program Wide Recievers: Greg Peterson Previously at KSU and other aq schools Returning Coaches Shelton Gandy, Chuck Peterson, Spencer Leftwich I don't know what I am trying to prove here, but just from looking at it I would say I like the lack of high school coaches and the addition of true Div 1 talent.
  23. Maybe I can help. Here are two quotes from the summit about the current bill in reference to the government's action or inaction... MSNBC My point being that there was conversation on scrapping the current bill due to cost concerns and starting over as Rep. Cantor pointed out, and there was conversation about how important it is to pass the bill immediately due to public concern as pointed out by Sen. Reid. I have not yet been able to find a quote from a democrat that speaks about, even in passing, the overall costs of the bill and their effects on the American economy or government debt or deficit spending in general. The republicans were speaking about that repeatedly, and seemed to be ignored by their Democratic colleagues. Just in case you want to read the transcript you can find it here.
