  1. These are sharp. I too, would love to see us with 3 jerseys and 3 pants. Something similar to what OSU has except in our color schemes would be perfect; though I'd rather have black than grey.
  2. Interesting transfer. Also interesting that Shavodrick Beaver is leaving to go back to Wichita Falls. He was fun to watch at Rider High school, and originally committed to Michigan for Rich Rod. Cody Green was a special player at Dayton High School. Very fun to watch. The talent is there; no question.
  3. Leppo was servicable in relief of Johnson; but we were actually quite a bit more productive with Fortenberry there. He may no longer be with the team? I know he did not get to really get into spring ball wholly with the knee recovery. Not a knock on the kid, but the recovery process / demands of the new regime may have been too much for him. Regardless if Leppo is here or not, we need a quality Center for the future.
  4. The Alumni Pavilion is a wonderful, unique touch to the new stadium and the gameday experience. It's really a cool deal all-together and will provide a great gathering spot on gamedays. And I will not nit-pick it, I personally think the architecture for what function the building will be serving is perfect (and signage that large could be a good thing, as there may be some older folks wondering what that is).
  5. It would be a nice get to get Dennis on board for sure. I'd love to have a 220+ lb option to go along with the speedy Zac Whitfield / Antoine Jimmerson combo down the road.
  6. I heard it last week from "the horses mouth" in the Football offices. Let's hope he shows up; to be honest I am a little concerned with the Center position after this season.
  7. Both players play extremely fast and aggressive, and I like it. Polk is a solid 210 right now, and before you blink your eyes will be a 6'1"+ 225+ LB who can run. Lee flys all over the place. He was out of position as an inside backer, but he made tons of plays and flew to the ball. He will be a fun one to watch at safety in the future.
  8. I believe Boone will be visiting this Friday, and would be a major priority for these coaches to offer while he's in town
  9. After seeing several of the players in the AC last Thursday following workouts, the weights will definitely change for the better. Many of the players looked outstanding physically. Like 10+ lbs of muscle added.
  10. This reasoning, while logical, doesn't work when attempting to predict records or the outcome of particular games.
  11. Cam Feldt, OT from Arkansas, and Pilot Point http://insider.espn.go.com/college-football/recruiting/player?id=69060&_slug_=cam-feldt&action=login&appRedirect=http%3a%2f%2finsider.espn.go.com%2fcollege-football%2frecruiting%2fplayer%3fid%3d69060%26_slug_%3dcam-feldt
  12. Exciting news! This is the second 4 star transfer from a BCS Program under McCarneys watch. I wouldn't be surprised with the massive amount of connections on this coaching staff and the respect that Coach McCarney had from his colleagues that we are able to get a few of these per calendar year; which these guys can be program changers!
  13. Go back to TCU's recruiting 5, 6, 7 years ago. Similar scenarios and tactics. Big, fast small town kids who didn't bask in the limelight of 10,000 seat multi-million dollar high school programs. Just hard working, athletic, country strong kids who were developed by great coaching.
  14. My bad 90 Grad! Operating from my iPad today, can get a little turned around still.
  15. From Rivals.com Top Performers: Texas 7 on 7 RB REX ROLLINS, 6-1/185, TYLER (TEXAS) CHAPEL HILL Committed to: North Texas Strengths: Rollins is an impressive prospect on the hoof. He has a lean frame that should be able to handle more muscle mass. He played defense most of the day and showed an ability to cover slot receivers. It would not be a surprise to see him play safety or even linebacker in college. Weaknesses: Rollins did not look incredibly natural catching the ball out of the backfield. He could be a bit too tall to play running back in college as he runs a bit upright with the ball in his hands.
  16. Mac has said over and over that this was the worst looking team physically in Division 1 football in the country. I can't say I disagree. His most recent stops have been at 2 programs with 2 of the better looking teams physically in the country in Florida and USF, so the standard is very high. Also, pretty cool that he was able to keep Coach Wintrich over multiple BCS-Conference offers for player speed development and strength / conditioning.
  17. He may be at this point, but remember this is a kid doing 4 sports at a tiny school. When he focuses on football and really hits the weight-room he will be an absolute physical specimen.
  18. Malik Dilonga listed in Texas Football Listed in MaxPreps TCCH Preview as top player ESPN Rise Profile Recruiting Profile Shows interest in North Carolina and SMU
  19. Come on Vito, all you have to do is do a simple internet search for any of these kids these days. Highlights Junior Basketball Photo Profile Lists Arkansas, Kansas, La Tech, TCU, and Tulsa as schools of interest.
  20. Great breakdown; and I must say I agree with you wholeheartedly. Lance could play for anyone in the country.
  21. I agree, what on earth is the problem with an Alabama type of uniform? Now it may be the players who wear them, and the caliber of athletes that they are; but damn those are some classic uniforms.
  22. The helmets probably closest resemble Florida's layout except replace orange with green, blue stripe with black, and "Gators' with 'North Texas' and you have it. So Alabama style jerseys and pants and Florida style helmets. can someone create that in Photoshop?
  23. Thanks for clarification. I think it would be great to have watching parties in the stadium for all away games and stream it on both video boards and on the TV's in the club and suites. Even if it's the Internet feed, they could do that as video and have MGRN audio streamed in. Thoughts? Cost-prohibitive?
