  1. Spoke with a good friend who is a parent of an Argyle player, and they played Kennedale last Friday night. He spoke very highly of Scott stating that "he definitely looks the part", "plays fast", "makes plays all over the field". The week previously they played Paris and I did not hear as positive of comments about Sed Ellis other than they have him playing at Defensive End where he is out of position. It sounds like Scott is a nice get for NT.
  2. Prove the bettors wrong!
  3. Hopefully the veteran leadership of these guys will lead this team where it wants to go in Conference play. I can't remember a Sun Belt race that seems this wide open.
  4. 35-28 North Texas
  5. According to Vito today; Polk is playing Saturday and McCoy/J Phil are day to day.
  6. Love watching Mason play. He is a vintage lineman with the old school facemask And look who packs a punch up front. Our guard combination is pretty darn salty!
  7. Just knowing a little bit of the background and history with Snyder and Coach Mac, I'd venture to bet that those comments are more genuine than coach speak.
  8. Can't say there's much to disagree with here. Go Mean Green!
  9. Yes Please!
  10. Noticed several walk on's on the kick team. Do we need to put more starters/players in the 2 deep on these Special Teams?
  11. Excellent comments! Wish we could set up a longtime series with Kansas State.
  12. Coach Mac's definition of "glory years" is to take and establish this program at heights that have not been achieved in Denton before. I firmly believe under his leadership this program is a year-plus ahead of schedule toward achieving that. Go Mean Green!
  13. Wildwood Inn is nice
  14. Canales did a heck of a job in this game (minus the 3rd and 1 delayed draw to J. Brown after driving down the field pounding them). The offense was extremely crisp and had an excellent plan against the stingy Wildcats defense. Great job Chico! Skladany obviously had an excellent plan as well just looked like some execution and tackling was poor at different times; but the defense was physical and played fast again. They are improving and may be a fun group to watch as the season progresses. They are all winnable from here on out! Go Mean Green!
  15. Can someone provide a link? I'm like Harry, can't see on iPad.
  16. Good guys 23 K State 42
  17. Great article Brett. Love to see stories like this. Man that Hayden Fry coaching tree is some kind of impressive!
  18. Any confirmation on Polk? He has certainly contributed some nice plays in the first two games. Love his speed and his ability to hit. Wasn't Kendall Washington a Minnesota commit out of HS? I know he and Jarrian both possess prototypical LB frames but ( lack of) experience is certainly an area for concern
  19. Thank you for clearing that up Brett! Hopefully that will silence the critics a bit who just assumed it was because he could not play at Scottsdale. Good decision by Brock and his family and look forward to seeing him develop into the special player he has the ability to be.
  20. Oh this is not good with Phillips and Polk going down
  21. Yes, we have faced Browning in 2010 and 2011. Last year the Defensive Line was all over him all game in Denton.
  22. Hope Polk gets some treatment and bounces back to 100% for K State. He's certainly developing into a nice player and has the ability to be a defensive playmaker with his speed.
  23. The Green Brigade is awesome!
