  1. TFLF, how would you assess the playmakers on this team versus a year ago?
  2. The combination of the history of the lack of back to back wins and McCarney's road record certainly can weigh against becoming too optimistic in this one. They say the most improvement comes from week one to week two and if we base it on what we saw this weekend I would predict this would be a close matchup. North Texas 31 Ohio 27
  3. Wasn't it 96 in College Station at game time?
  4. I'm with you Billy. I certainly wasn't knocking Connor or his dad in any way. Simply put, dads don't tout their sons on message boards in FBS college football. Maybe in high school, but at this level and beyond, let the kids play do the talking and then there will be plenty of folks sharing those (hopefully) same feelings and thoughts about Connor's play.
  5. Scotty has a cannon for an arm
  6. Yes, please tap the brakes talking about feeling sorry for anyone who goes against your son because of how he played in high school. We certainly all hope that Connor does a great job and know that you are proud. You don't see other players dads on here talking up their sons like that. This is college football man, not daddy ball; why not let Connor's play do the talking?
  7. Come on dad...tap the brakes there a little...
  8. Did anyone else think Tulsa looked flat and disinterested last night? I will say that the BG defense, backup QB, and bulldozer RB were quite impressive!
  9. Definitely agree Harry. He is one of the more intriguing athletes on the team who came in as a tall, lanky pass rusher and has put on a ton of quality weight to be more of a prototypical sized DE.
  10. If he starts out like Texas Southern, Troy, or WKU last year bring in the backup(s). There should not be any tolerance for that type of play and the other 105 players on the team should not be subjected to it. Again, I think we all certainly HOPE that he plays like he did against Kansas State; and if he can do that we will be VERY successful.
  11. 23,500 in attendance Saturday
  12. Should...but we all have a reason to be skeptical based on the history. We all certainly HOPE that DT shows marked improvement over 2011 and 2012 against Idaho.
  13. Under; unless he gets some RAC yards, which would mean that he has to be accurate on his throws and hit guys in stride.
  14. Offense - Darius Terrell Defense - Chad Davis
  15. WKU isn't in C-USA this year, are they?
  16. 42-17 Mean Green
  17. If the QB play is competent and injury bug stays away, this is not out of the realm of possibility
  18. Would think the NFL prospects are Zach Orr, Antonio Johnson, Cyril Lemon, and Marcus Trice. No?
  19. Just win baby...and they'll show up!
  20. The problem with DT is that he cannot deliver routine throws. Bubble screens, slants, out routes, etc. Our WR's are constantly having to contort their bodies or make spectacular catches. We have WR's who can run this year and we need a QB who can hit them in stride on routine throws. You would hope that he has chemistry with Chancellor, Smith, and Carlos from last year and that can happen. But until he proves it in a game, I would be skeptical and would have a quick trigger to put in a replaecement. You have to score in college football today and that requires competent QB play, particularly on routine passing tree throws.
  21. Skladany shoots straight and you have to love it. I hope we are more athletic defensively with some of the offenses in this C-USA.
  22. Man this kid is an impressive football player. Could end up in secondary or eventually as a LB. nice pickup
  23. Makes sense now; as a LS. Maybe he can throw the discus too?
  24. Isn't that the IPF on the bottom left of the master plan in red? Below the volleyball gym and basketball practice?
  25. Harry, I believe that I heard somewhere that the indoor facility would go on the plot of land somewhat "behind" the volleyball gym. So on the far south / west part of that campus with volleyball, soccer, basketball practice facility, etc.
