  1. Good assessment. When Fine has time, he executes extremely well. Murray got his rear end kicked, as did Gunter. Bad night for those boys, but thankful that is far and away the best front that we will see this season. The Gators recovery speed was unreal. We had them out of position a lot of times, only for them to recover in an instance. Teaching opportunities aplenty, and this week the game speed should "slow down", allowing our backs to get creases and the QB to have adequate time for progressions. Looking forward to being 1-0 in C-USA play at the end of Saturday night.
  2. haha, that is a really bad grill. You'd think making $4,000,000 annually, you could get that cleaned up.
  3. These uniforms are just awful all together. They look very high school-ish. I'm certain we won't see these ever again after this season.
  4. Exactly. If the offense does anything, that scoreboard is very different. Defense played outstanding given the time they were on the field.
  5. Didn't someone drop Miami (or vice versa) and this was a last minute deal?
  6. The sound is an issue in Apogee (has been since day 1). When you only have speakers coming from one end of the field, it's tough to get good sound. We will see what Wren and his team do about this (if anything) in due time.
  7. Absolutely Harry. It's nice to see a clear cut plan from Baker in terms of re-structuring personnel to improve as a department. It's been small things thus far, but the communication and customer service seem to have clearly improved. I have no reason to believe that this won't only get better. It'll be interesting to see the first major project that Baker and his team tackle. My guess would be an updated Master Plan with a fundraising model to support it.
  8. Great news! President Smatresk continues to impress!
  9. Another home run hire by Wren Baker. Great move to get a COO and CFO established as the top 2 employees reporting to him. As far as adding layers of bureaucracy that @GrandGreen references, I don't view this as that type of hire, or Baker to have that type of approach. This has been a much needed position within the AD for a period of time (there's hasn't been a financial decision maker in the department besides RV), and this gives Baker someone that he can trust to manage the financial side of the department. Stacy Martin looks highly qualified for this position, and looks to be a great addition! In reference to Hank, this will probably make him #4 in the department now.
  10. Reaching double digits on this end of the scoreboard would be an accomplishment. This is currently the #1 defense in the SEC with NFL players at all levels. IF the line can block for any sustained period of time, the the WR corps has to win against the guy covering him. This didn't happen at Bethune Cookman (hence the poor stat line in the passing game), and it's doubtful here. I'd bet our defense plays their tails off early, and a lack of depth finally catches up in the third quarter. Prediction is: UF - 34 NT - 10
  11. Anything to slow them down.
  12. Correct. According to Mel Kiper Jr., the Gators have a top 5 draft prospect at their respective position in the following places: TE #30 DeAndre Goolsby DT #57 Caleb Brantley LB #40 Jarrad Davis CB #31 Jaylon "Teez" Tabor S #20 Marcus Maye P #19 Johnny Townsend
  13. Love the rushing offense. BC made it difficult to throw. Rush defense was very solid. Take out the 83 yarder at the end against the twos, and its 31 carries for 74 yards.
  14. You may wish to get some clarification on that.
  15. After two games, how are you feeling about special teams? Looks like we are solid in XP and Field Goal. Punter is good, blocking horrible. Kickoff and Punt coverage are lacking. Good to see true freshman Tyler Wilson block a punt and have a big return. Thoughts?
  16. They seemed to be onto the screens when we tried to. They had a lot of speed and some really good athletes.
  17. That is correct. Replaced with more screaming eagle "caw" sound effects.
  18. His height was our best friend. If he's 2" - 3" taller, he's a 70+ offer guy (ask Bob Stoops).
  19. Love the approach. Littrell is a dang ball coach through and through.
  20. Cover zero made the mid range throws or throws over the middle tough since the WR's were routinely unable to beat defenders in 1 on 1 Matchups.
  21. Not that I've heard.
  22. Rice isn't very good.
  23. Heard that all of the remodel / renovation (team meeting room, individual meeting rooms with the 90" TV's, locker room, coaches offices and lobby) were somewhere in the $700K range. Some of this (this phase of locker room) was already done or approved by previous AD, and thus could be why it's somewhat underwhelming to folks. There's apparently a "Phase 2" coming later (assuming in December for recruiting) that further enhances the football facilities, including more work to the locker room. This is apparently a collaborative effort by the new AD and HFC.
  24. 40+ points on offense. 500 yards on offense. Third down stops and turnovers on defense. Win.
  25. The pre-game speech from Littrell was awesome, as were the halftime and in-game soundbites from the coaches, and post-game from Littrell. Good stuff!
