  1. Well put. Baker and his team need to expand the donor base, and, with his leadership and successful background, this should happen. There are some wonderful donors that we are extremely fortunate to have, and should always keep perspective on their generousity which enables a lot of what we do in athletics and through this university. Baker and his team, I fully believe, can grow this base tremendously.
  2. That would be awesome. Weather, coming off a win, ticket promotion from AD. We shall see, but let's keep fingers crossed!
  3. The history is certainly deep. However, as a venue for Rice it's completely impractical. They should tear down those upper decks and make a nice suite / club level on the home side.
  4. Great video! What a fun night.
  5. He started at LT. Looks like he won the job over Jordan Murray who was embarrassed at Florida. He had the key block on Wilson's long TD run to seal the left side.
  6. Excellent post and perspective. It's good to see the fanbase positive with the changes in leadership within the Athletic Department and Football program. Baker and Littrell are young superstars and we are going to realize this long talked about "potential" under them.
  7. Haha! Rice's stadium is horrific.
  8. This past week is now on YouTube:
  9. Absolutely. Don't forget Buyers also had a 60 yard TD to begin the second half negated by a hold.
  10. TJ had just chased the QB 50+ yards down the field after making a TFL play with great effort. He was spent!
  11. Hard to believe Gators lost after being up 21-3 ...
  12. Woodworth was a huge upgrade at LT in this game.
  13. Something unusual had to be going on? I mean that just doesn't happen.
  14. Take 10 - 15% off the announced number and you have a little closer to reality typically.
  15. Nice cause by SMU and their promotions. Awesome helmet stickers by their equipment staff.
  16. Another excellent episode. Love the first part about the search and hiring of Baker. Smatresk has some great comments on the criteria and Trip Kuehne really drives those home with some powerful insights. Littrell and Baker are going to be an excellent and successful duo around here! Agree with the comments on the coaching staff. Love the passion and enthusiasm, and the constant coaching / adjustments, especially in an adverse environment like the Swamp. Great job by Ashton and his production team! Can't wait for next week's episode to highlight the first road win and first conference win of the Littrell era!
  17. Love this show! Anxious to see everyone's thoughts.
  18. Agreed. It would be great to get to a point where the momentum is along the lines of what UH has going on currently. That's realistically probably 5-10 years away. TCU does get the conference money, and let's face it, they have Fort Worth fully engaged in their support of the program and university.
  19. Love the straightforward, transparent approach from Littrell. "What you see is what you get", and that is so refreshing from a coach. Looking forward to seeing the improvement this week and being 1-0 in C-USA.
  20. Absolutely on the lineman. It'll take them a while, and, in reality, we probably don't have the personnel that the staff desires to really make this offense go. Thaddeous showed up in the Swamp ready to play. Didn't notice much of Kelvin there.
  21. Basically the set of uniforms replicating what UH has with a white helmet and a green helmet?
  22. If true, thankful that this is the news for Del Rio.
  23. We could very well be on a similar path as USM for sure. I think we may be able to do it a little quicker, as we have a better staff and more resources than USM did at the time when Monken took over. Love the Fine to Mullens comparison!
  24. that's classic...
  25. Agree with your last statement that doing well is good for us. In the big scheme of the SEC and nationally, Florida doesn't have enough offense. They might in the SEC East (remember they went to the SEC championship last year), but I'd have a funny feeling that Bama (or whomever represents the West) will clean their clock if they get back there.
