  1. Good article by the AD to release this type of information in writing.
  2. At this point in our program, Navy and most any P5 would be a horrible matchup (albeit in a good bowl game in Fort Worth).
  3. Choice was on the video on the BTG episode for the UTSA game. By the way, there are some good ex-players on this staff to go along with Tashard Choice: Darcel McBath Herschel Sims Graham Harrell
  4. He has been coaching all season with this staff.
  5. Similar to a LaDarius Hamilton?
  6. Fedora being "home" in Texas (which is logical) would help Littrell in recruiting.
  7. Littrell is not going anywhere. What he's accomplished his year with a horrendous roster of 60-something scholarship guys (with no more than a couple dozen who belong on scholarship at the FBS level) has been remarkable. Winning 6 or 7 games this season is a tremendous accomplishment. That's a huge step. Step back and think about what this place can be. Littrell wants to (and believes fully that he can) build the program into a recognizable powerhouse. Once that is clearly in motion, then Littrell will be able to get a significant P5 job. Doubtful. He and SL are very close.
  8. Smart move for the head coach to set the expectations and hold players accountable.
  9. The player should loved the helmets, and that's what matters. Put these helmets in the que for the future, and hopefully we will debut some new kids with new uniforms next September.
  10. Under the leadership of Wren Baker, one has to be confident that we can devise a successful strategy to keep Littrell as long as possible. I'd guess that we will see the following in this offseason: 1) New deal for a Littrell to take him to or over the ~$1mm mark annually 2) Assistant salary incresases to the top of CUSA (and likely into MWC ranges) 3) Announcement of Indoor Practice Facility 4) Possibly some additional staff or support positions created 5) Operating budget enhancements If you're Littrell and see that sort of commitment and support from the university, that would be tremendously reassuring, where you're comfortable staying for the foreseeable future. Now, another thing to remember is that guys like Baker and Littrell have major vision for UNT that includes becoming a "best in class" G5 program. They have the clear opportunity to do that and really build something special. That's worth a lot to young professionals like that. Littrell won't leave for another G5 job, and I'd bet that there's only a handful of major P5 jobs (ie "a list" similar to Johnny Jones) that he will consider. Its going to take significant commitment from alumni, boosters, and the fan base to make this list above happen; and this program needs everyone to hop on the train now to achieve them.
  11. Excellent article on the background of PJ Fleck and his meteoric rise in the college football ranks since taking over the reigns at Western Michigan and going 1-11 in his first season (2013): http://www.campusrush.com/pj-fleck-western-michigan-broncos-college-football-coach-2097271726.html?xid=socialflow_twitter_si He inherited a program that was 4-8 the previous year, only to take a hit in his first year on the job to instill his system, values, and get 'his type' of players engaged in the program. Tomorrow, they host ESPN College GameDay and are 10-0. Littrell and his staff have us at 4-6 with 2 games to go in his first season off of a 1-11 year.
  12. Would be a huge get if he wants to stay close to home. We need some impact at the WR position (as we can tell by watching the players at La Tech and WKY the past few weeks)...
  13. New uniforms would be great! Hopefully we have faced the two best offenses that we will see in La Tech and WKY.
  14. Shoulder surgery. Back for spring ball.
  15. Absolutely. Unless we can make a bowl and possibly get Jeffrey back for that.
  16. This is the best team in CUSA. Reality is that we went 1-11 a year ago, and since 2014 have clearly been near the bottom of the conference. The performances against Middle Tennessee, Louisiana Tech, and Western Kentucky have demonstrated the progress that has to be made to get to the upper echelon of CUSA. Reality is correct. Thankfully it's downhill from here. We have a chance to get a reeling Southern Miss team at home next week and get win #5.
  17. I can certainly see where you are coming from; yet, at the same time, there were 3 other receivers running shorter "underneath" routes on the play you referenced.
  18. The offensive line is horrific. Getting dominated yet again. Everyone can complain about play calling, but if you are unable to block, it doesn't matter what is called.
  19. Agreed. Trevor has been quite below par on Field Goals.
  20. It's probably fair to assume the offensive struggle would happen today against the conference's top ranked rush defense, with us minus Wilson.
  21. Not good news. Wish Jeffrey a speedy recovery. Next man up!
  22. Exactly. In a few short seasons, that crowd last night will be considered severely disappointing. Shows what the possibility of a racous Apogee will look like when it's at capacity.
  23. USF still pays Holtz a healthy sum.
