  1. He has to prove that he can stay healthy and shine in a certain position. To date, he has done neither. Needs a really strong offseason with Womack to enable him solid opportunities in spring. He must demonstrate a hunger and willingness to move positions, and mix it up physically at spots other than QB. I'd really question that last point, until he proves otherwise.
  2. Believe that he's a PWO.
  3. It's a signing, so he's likely enrolling and starting classes in January to be part of the program this coming semester.
  4. Good point, it'd be scary. Army is finally doing what Air Force and Navy have done for years, and it is paying obvious dividends. Question though: Kansas State has similar level of talent to Louisville and Miami?
  5. Smith originally committed to Cal and had other significant P5 offers, but I believe (don't quote me on this) that he was a 'late qualifier'. Also, wasn't it Arlington ISD record, not just Martin HS?
  6. We will see if McNeal truly wants to return home to DFW, or if the loyalty to Coach Norvell from their relationship in Austin will "win out". The way he was done at Texas surely has to be in the back of his mind...
  7. Exactly. Huge pickup! Now let's get McNeal from Fullerton
  8. I am not certain if the new weight room would happen in the next couple of months, but I'd bet the plan with that weight room and facility is covered in the Master Plan. Our facility is very sub-par compared to SMU, Rice, UTEP, La Tech, etc...and nowhere near UH or the AAC schools. As a part of the IPF planning, I'd anticipate that we see Football Ops, Academics, Weight & Training Room evaluated / included as a possible part of that or a renovation to the existing building. The Nutrition definitely improved this year thanks to donor support (noted by Littrell several times), and that was definitely an attributing factor to the team's overall health this season. I'd expect that to take a much greater step forward, along the lines of what you are describing and having a fully funded "nutrition department" which goes well beyond the smoothie concept.
  9. It's very likely that he's in the running for KR / PR next season, and maybe some rotation time at WR.
  10. Exactly. No doubt the best, and most important assistant is Womack. Based on listening to Wren Baker last night on the Podcast, look for some significant incremental resource allocation to Strength & Conditioning and Nutrition in the upcoming months.
  11. I believe Isadore is a Blueshirt (candidate).
  12. This is the one who suppsedly has all the buzz in practice.
  13. Young, but darn talented, especially once we get our JC receiver(s).
  14. Littrell is smart enough to make sure and take the "right P5" job (i.e. not Purdue or Vanderbilt). The one thing that is good for him here is that he can stay and build this thing into a powerhouse, without the expectations and demands of the P5 programs, particularly those bottom dwellers in their respective conference. The reality is that taking the "wrong P5" job as a stepping stone, is the kiss of death for coaches wishing to move up the ladder. With Neal and Wren's leadership, Littrell knows he's in a good situation to start and establish his career, and then, at the right time, be in a prime position to take the "right P5" job. Rumor has it that Stoops is retiring at age 60....
  15. #20 acted like a turd the entire game. On the false starts, the Army D jumped into the neutral zone instigating our players to move.
  16. Defensive End will be the toughest, just because there's not a ton of talent waiting in the wings. As @GMG24 said LaDarius Hamilton will likely play with this hand in the dirt from here on out and should be an anchor. Call it what you want, but Coach LeBlanc did one heck of a job with the D-Line this year. He figured out the proper personnel fits and had a nice rotation plan during games. He should be able to piece something together that's likely improved from this year, even with new (more athletic) faces. Receiver, Offensive Line, and Linebacker should be improved overall.Losing James Gray at Safety will sting, but Muhammed made some nice contributions this year as a true Freshman. Enterline, Keena, Schilleci, and Buyers were all excellent Special Teams players. Kudos to all of the Seniors, who endured quite the roller coaster ride in their playing careers in Denton, as they helped to lay the foundation for the program to build on for sustained success.
  17. The results of that play were obviously costly. Personally, I liked the aggressive call going for the "dagger" as we had all the momentum at the time. Watching the recording, Thompson was wide open early, and the (hate to beat this drum again - but it is a very common theme from this season) poor blocking that lead to an Army defender being in the backfield to disrupt Tyler Wilson's timing and vision to execute the throw.
  18. Street clothes
  19. Good points, but getting ready for that triple option in a week is really tough duty.
  20. He does this regularly during games, mostly over by the bench where fans can't see or don't pay attention to.
  21. Odd isn't it? Is there more fans and alumni in the "Dallas area" that don't make the trips to Denton? Our crowds at the Cotton Bowl and SMU are always impressive.
  22. SEC crew, they historically "let them play".
  23. Stud! Physical, hard nosed, well coached, and loyal. Too short for P5 offers (for now)...
