  1. Chances are that he (and the other mid-term signees) are going to be around since they are likely moving into town this weekend.
  2. That appears to be this weekend's strategy. Makes a lot of sense.
  3. Definitely able to identify talent and close the deal.
  4. Some of those may be contingency plans, in that they may or may not be the higher(est) ranked players at their position.
  5. Yep. In a dream scenario we get McNeal and Malik Jackson at WR, and Davien Ford at RB for the offensive skill positions. Also getting McDonald and one more big target on defense. If we pulled off that WR haul with Bradley and Jackson as HS signees paired with McNeal and Guyton as JC signees, I'd put that up against any class we've signed in a long, long time.
  6. The old cow & calf technique. Looks like Colton may be a graduate transfer? It would be neat to play with your younger brother..
  7. Absolutely. This kid paired with Nic Smith would be scary.
  8. Hope that we can go right back down to the Heart of Dallas versus a lower tier Big 10 opponent and win the game.
  9. I'd bet he can find a way to dedicate some time to it - just like he has as Offensive Coordinator elsewhere.
  10. Guess would be Littrell, as he's had a strong influence with RB's everywhere that he's been. Maybe Tashard Choice helps out until the 10th assistant comes into play? At least from afar, he appeared to be tied with Perry during games, often times subbing the RB's and FB's in and out of the game for various personnel packages.
  11. Don't know any details on the older brother other than he is coming to UNT to play, and believe that is this spring.
  12. The 10th assistant deal should be formalized in the next few weeks. On the redshirt situation, 5 years to play 4 1/3 means a player can play in 3-4 games and still get his redshirt in any year. It's a twist on the campaign to allow redshirts to play in bowl games. This is less restrictive on the student athlete and coaches, and makes some sense.
  13. Biagi was hired to coach Special Teams, not Running Back.
  14. Biagi is a heck of a special teams coach. Great hire from X's and O's standpoint! Remember, Littrell has had a hand in RB's personally at all of his stops. Maybe not in "title", but in duties and with his familiarity in coaching the position. Also, keep an eye out for a 10th assistant to be given RB's Coach title.
  15. Heard that his older brother may be transferring in to play this spring, which shouldn't hurt us. Also heard that he is on a OV here this weekend.
  16. Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't he already home in Mesquite for this semester?
  17. Yes, though this is not something though that the Athletics Director should have to deal with. Contact the Football Director of Recruiitng, and I'm sure he can get it handled.
  18. Why not contact David Stenklyft about this and have him handle with the folks at 247?
  19. For whatever these lists are worth after the Top 25-40, this seems slightly low. Maybe in the high 70's to low 80's. Hope to (and believe that we will) make a considerable jump in 2017!
  20. We've offered, and you'd have to think come Thursday that the full court press would be put on Jackson to stay close to home. Based on his twitter, it looks like our entire staff follows him.
  21. Bryson Jackson would be a huge get.
  22. That'd be great for Sonny to re-connect with some old buddies (Littrell, Mainord, Davis, Harrell, Filani, etc.) as an analyst of sorts, while he collects a fat check from Cal this year. One can wish.
  23. Not totally certain on specifics, but I did hear that a key donor or two "stepped up" prior to fall camp to make certain this show happened to document the transition of a new coach and new athletic director. That may be to cover the filming and production costs, or the airtime on FSSW, or a combination of both. With Wren's fresh approach, I would bet that that Athletics Department would budget that (or similar) cost going forward, which was cut under RV in 2015 season.
