  1. This would seem to be a key point. If the university has plans for replacing or renovating the Super Pit, they should do so at their discretion. The issue for our AD in this situation, is that the Super Pit does not offer any sort of premium seating areas (and the product in MBB has been extremely poor) to generate much of any revenue in this facility. The funding would surely come from the university, particularly given the fact that we are soon to undergo the largest athletics fundraising campaign in history with this IPF and Operations initiative?
  2. Yes. Just as in recruiting too, we seem to be one of the last dominoes. The consequential trickle down effect in college football is quite remarkable, but it certainly hurts places like UNT, especially when we have football leadership that is respected and recognized nationally.
  3. No way to match Florida, Kentucky, or UNC.
  4. Seems about right. Believe that the highest paid DL coach in C-USA is in that ~$120K range.
  5. Littrell clearly assembled a talented coaching staff , and these assistant coaches have earned the right to be hired by SEC and ACC schools, likely at least doubling their salaries to provide tremendous opportunities for their families. (@Brett Vito doesn't elect to use this type of language in his "reports")
  6. @Brett Vito's love affair with Tommy Perry continues. Is Perry his "mole" for information? Congrats to Ekeler. Another P5 job for him, and opportunity to work with a familiar face who share common defensive philosophies in John Papuchis at UNC.
  7. When is the last time UNT lost 3 coaches to Power 5 leagues?
  8. No. He was with Tuberville from 2014 - 2016. Cincinnati just hired Luke Fickell as their head coach, and he's a defensive guy.
  9. Hire the best candidate period. If there are two equal candidates, then hire the UNT alum.
  10. Poor reporting.
  11. He was the highest paid OL coach in C-USA
  12. The same position as Dee Baulkman and Ashton Preston I believe
  13. Not a complete shock with the prior relationships with Briles and Kiffin from McNeal's recruiting process out of high school. Best of luck to him.
  14. This could very well be the case.
  15. Supply and demand. Nice problem to have. It'll be interesting to see the path that they choose to take here. With their budget and revenue, ODU is going to be a force to be reckoned with in CUSA.
  16. Nice research, and in all likelihood, Wren and staff have identified and evaluated Oklahoma State as a possible future opponent.
  17. Fuente had tough duty and Memphis and he turned it. Now, as you put it, Norvell can build on that. Littrell's time at UNT is similar to Fuente's, although McCarney's record was better than what Fuente inherited. Interestingly enough, Wren Baker was at Memphis during years 2 and 3 of Fuente's tenure and can identify comparisons. Point being is that both Fuente and Littrell inherited tough gigs and these early recruiting classes are instrumental in establishing the foundation for the future.
  18. Not a shocker. We need to hang onto him!
  19. Solid slate of games. It'll be interesting to welcome ODU and UAB to Apogee. Any reasonable thoughts on record predictions?
