Live stats will apparently be available here once the game starts, so there's no need for constant forum updates from Matt (which I'm sure he's happy to be able to save a little bit of time). GMG http://www.meangreensports.com/liveStats/liveStats.dbml?&DB_OEM_ID=1800&KEY

Shout Out To Garrett Courtney And The Allen Wranglers
GreenLegend37 replied to Harry's topic in Mean Green Football
Allen lost as time expired on 5/21. They were down 33-29 with :23 left and Amarillo (started the season 0-9, came into the game having won their first game looking to make it two straight) had the ball on the two-yard line with no timeouts left. -
Here's the KNTU recap.

I say that every time I read his articles.

You can't be serious.

Too bad George never said "...the Southland Conference again this year." He said, "...their conference again this year." Nice try.

Unt Mens Game Vs Arkansas St Televised

What would you rather have: ESPN game with some team of unknown broadcasters who probably won't know basketball or TXA21 game with George Dunham and Hank Dickenson That's what I thought. -
Yup, confirmation news leading on the KNTU Late Edition at 5:30

I can tell you it wasn't NTTV, KNTU or NT Daily.

GREEN GUYSSSSSSS

Yeah I was a little surprised by that pick. Young returns as the team's leading scorer from last year as a freshman, and Hedlund thinks Crawford, Gorrie and Brooks are three of the best defenders in the conference. By the way, North Texas has had a winning season in each of the 16 seasons the program has been in existence. Hedlund has been there all 16 seasons.

UNT soccer wins alumni game 4-2

She pitched in high school and finished with a career 0.28 ERA. Plus, I don't think there is anything that will hamper her offensive ability. Have you been out to any UNT games over the last two years? She was named to the first team All-Sun Belt not only last year, but her sophomore AND freshman year. I don't think it will be remotely possible for her to quit hitting the ball. She can break the school records for doubles easily next year, needs 53 hits to tie the all-time school record for hits, will need an '08 style of season to break the RBI record, so I think she'll be in the lineup. As a pitcher or a first baseman. Also, what if it was Hubbard's plan to use Cantler all along? You never know...
-
By the way, I did some googling, and look what I came across: http://www.njcaa.org/colleges_college_player.cfm?sid=28&collegeid=1656&category=Roster&slid=14&teamid=99668&athleteid=248564 So for all of those who say we won't be good at 1B when Cantler is pitching, look at that.

I talked to Coach Hedlund today, and he is really looking forward to what the team has in store for this year. UNT soccer ready for 2010 season Think about it. Last year the team had a winning record, and a freshman led the team in scoring. Let's get it rolling! *edit* I don't know why it put "Unt Soccer 2010", I originally put UNT Soccer 2010. I guess the system doesn't like that or something?

I'm trying to figure out what you mean by that. So what if she hits and pitches at the same time? That wouldn't hurt anyone. Plus, I think Coach Hubbard would rather take his chances with finding a solid first baseman who will split time with Cantler when she doesn't pitch than not take a chance with her in the circle.

Mean Green Stadium Joe Greene Field That's what I would vote on!

My Qb Spotlight On The First Day Of Practice
GreenLegend37 replied to GreenLegend37's topic in Mean Green Football
Honestly, I think that's the key. Whoever the North Texas starting quarterback needs to have 110% confidence from the people from both the inside and outside the athletic department. If he doesn't have any believers, that would definitely harp his confidence. -
She hasn't, but she's been working very hard in the off-season to give Hubbard another option in the circle.

My Qb Spotlight On The First Day Of Practice
GreenLegend37 replied to GreenLegend37's topic in Mean Green Football
I remember watching that game and seeing those turnovers, and I'll admit, I blamed him a little bit for losing that game because of those interceptions, but a few weeks later I changed my opinion on him during that game, and you are right, he did a very good job protecting the ball. -
More than likely TJ Hubbard will implement usual 1B Mallory Cantler to do some pitching work, and I'm looking for more info on the other pitcher.

My Qb Spotlight On The First Day Of Practice

This is just a battle that I honestly didn't expect to see. I thought for sure with Riley moving to WR that it was basically Tune's job. But now Tune is thinking, "man I wish I had bones of steel!!"
