Next year they open in a home game against Grambling in Shreveport. An African-American friend of mine from that area told me once that La Tech would never play Grambling and that if it ever happened you couldn't find a stadium in North Louisiana that could hold everyone who would want to see that game. The Mayor of Shreveport has already said that they expect a sellout. I suppose their numbers will improve dramaticly next year. It is interesting to note that recently they played Miami in Shreveport and could not fill it up.

Back in my day we didn't have a mid-major top 25, in fact nobody ever heard the term mid -major, we didn't even have a top twenty five we had a top twenty and we liked it, we played real basketball against really good teams and if someone was bleeding we didn't stop the game like we do today for the wimpy panty waists, we didn't have a fancy three point shot and some players still averaged 30+ points a game, we wore real shorts and not these baggy draws that hang below the knees like they do today, and only the top 32 teams went to the NCAA tournament, it wasn't like today where everybody gets a trophy and they whine and want more teams in...etc.

When NO leaves the SBC this spring I assume they will no longer receive distributions from tournament money. Does anyone know how much additional revenue the other schools will receive in the future?

You cannot prove that we do not visit in-town schools or seek in town recruits. Denton Ryan has a quaterback about to enter his sophomore year, who I am told is big fast and very promising, named Leftwich. Do you think that our current staff, if still in place when he is a senior, and if he lives up to the glowing reports I hear about him, will be recruiting him? Do you think any members of our current staff are well acquainted with the coaches at Denton programs? Or do you really know at all?

Let me premise this by saying that I still believe that Todd Dodge will turn things around in 2010 and as Head Coach I will give him all the credit. That being said: 1. Prove with a credible source, who is willing to be quoted, that Villareal "hired DeLoach for Dodge." 2. Yes or No! Do you belive that Mendoza would have done a better job than DeLoach and, if so, why?
