Texas and Notre Dame are negotiating with the Big 10 as a package deal. This will allow the LHN to survive briefly and ultimately become Big Ten Network 2. By making it a package deal they hope to obtain leverage that allows them to keep some of their existing perks. At least that is what I have heard from sources. Of course there is the Tech problem that can be resolved by getting OU to bring along not just OSU but Tech and likely Kansas to the PAC 12-16.

I think Houston requested and received more tickets. They will not be bringing their band.

A friend, graduate of IU, told me whe was unable to get tickets in the visitor section because IU had sold out their allotment. She was told she could get tickets to the IU tailgate party,featuring Babe Laufenburg. So she bought from our ticket office. Sound like a good crowd is in the making. Does anyone know how many tickets IU was alloted?

My wife and I finally dined at the Chuy's in Denton on Sunday. One of the T-Shirts they have available, the one our waiter was wearing, has a Jalepeno Pepper with the SOW wings attached and underneath says ChUy's North Texas. The UN and T are printed larger and they stand out. Of course the writing and pepper are green. I thought it was a creative tribute to UNT.
