  1. Looks like Kelley went from 6'1" 204 to 6'3" 220 in short period of time. Apparently still growing.
  2. I haven't filled out a bracket yet. I will wait until Sunday.
  3. UTA could beat SMU.
  4. Dale Hanson has been pushing the Ponies and Jankovich all year. At the same time he covered the McCasland hire as if it was an obligation and was totally dismissive, then he whined about Middle Tennessee busting his bracket and seemed shocked. Just one more reason for me to be happy about this loss.
  5. Interesting article on LeGrande. He would make sure the doors to Texas hall were locked when he brought in recruits so he would have an excuse not to show them The Stage. http://www.utamavs.com/sports/m-baskbl/spec-rel/080713aaa.html
  6. You left out Texas Tech (15,098) https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/United_Supermarkets_Arena and Lamar (they also have suites) https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Montagne_Center and Baylor https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ferrell_Center

  8. https://www.yahoo.com/sports/news/middle-tennessee-state-is-the-first-12-seed-to-be-favored-since-1999-175643401.html
  9. There were 8 games played in the NIT last night, and 4 P5 schools lost to lower ranked teams from non P5 conferences including 1st seeded California losing at home to 8th seeded CSU Bakersfield.
  10. The guy tries hard and makes some good hires. If personnel changes are made in our Athletic Department perhaps we could hire him on as an Assistant AD. At the right school I think he could do well. I think he shows real promise.
  11. Hire Scott Cross as Associate Head Coach and that should get UNT90 to renew his tickets.
  12. Maybe, but of all those schools we were the only sleeping giant. But not anymore!
  13. 2015-2016 Revenue North Texas $30,851,453 ASU $17,008,487 He has done a good job of generating revenue from payouts for coaching contracts. With your revenue you need that money. You are rightfully proud of your AD.
  14. Everything is negotiable. If it is McCasland, then Arkansas State has as great an interest in getting a coach in place before national signing day as we do. How many scholarships do we have to give?
  15. No. Ever been in law enforcement or dealt with crime victims?
  16. No. It is equally offensive.
  17. You should be embarrassed for writing this. It is in very poor taste. Many innocent lives lost.
  18. I have found the Library to be a good source of info on coach searches etc. Back issues of SI are particularly valuable, however, the swimsuit addition is not as enlightening.
  19. I obviously can't speak for him. I saw him Saturday night and should have asked if the job would be of interest. Should put his name under consideration anyway. He would be what people thought Jackson would be but was not. We need someone with political clout. At one time I thought Kay Bailey Hutchison would have taken the job, if we could have dumped Jackson, but that ship has sailed.
  20. One possible option may be an alum. Dr. Michael Burgess. Connected, loves NT, very close friends with Senator Jane Nelson which is a plus.
  21. Agreed. I think Steve Forbes from East Tennessee State would be a possible option for us.
  22. Jankovich had a .564 winning percentage as a head coach and no NCAA appearances. Harper has two (now 3) NCAA appearances and a .592 winning percentage (actually higher if you count this year) in a shorter time period coaching D1. In your world Jankovich was a killer hire and Harper is average to above.
  23. What is your standard? You don't realistically believe we should hold out for a Sam Burton level winning percentage do you?
  24. You left out the most likely location. Jacksonville State.
