At least get your facts right. When we went for the field goal in the 3rd quarter we were down 36-20. The field goal put us in a position to score two TD's and with the PAT's we would be ahead.

Apparently when UTSA officials asked why they did not receive an invitation they were told it was not personal. They simply responded "no offense".

Even our first trip to NO which was unexpected till late in the season gave us more time to prepare, I think it was on Dec 18 and it was at night. The timing for this game is not good. I have made every bowl game since that first NO Bowl but this one is problematic. I personally do not think this is the best option.

The most important bowl experience is winning.

They should join the Southland Conference in all sports. Abilene Christian is closer than any school they play in the Sun Belt or any school they would play in the Big Sky. They would make the number of football schools even at 12 and basketball at 14.

FWIW Nebraska in their first game had 39 free throw opportunities vs. 18 for Eastern Illinois They had 16 called fouls vs. EIU's 28 Tonight we had 34 fouls and only 18 FT shots vs. NU having with 22 fouls and 45 shots. Big Ten refs are certainly consistant. Also, like tonight EIU had more goals, 1 more three pointer and a higher shooting percentage of both.

The last North Texas coach that left after two seasons and went to Tech did not last very long there or as a D1A head coach. Therefore, Tech must be where coaches from NT with two seasons under their belt go to end their FBS careers. Hence, SL will not go to Tech. In addition Sonny Dykes is next up at Tech. I hope Arkansas would not even consider a 2 year UNT coach.

Jon Trilli won the knockout game. He is now tied with his father for the number of wins at the Super Pit. The renovation restricted access to most of the concourse and there was only one entry. They will have to kick it up a notch to finish by the season opener. I did pick up my season tickets. The old press box area on the east side has been renovated for season ticket holders and looks good. I got a free pair of glow in the dark sunglasses and a chicken biscuit coupon for Whataburger. Student attendance was good. Not much else to report.
