  1. I am sure the view of this will change overtime like everything else has. Remember when the World Health Organization said the COVID-19 could not be passed from person to person in a January tweet. https://www.bizpacreview.com/2020/03/26/who-director-says-world-slow-to-react-to-covid-19-after-claiming-no-human-to-human-transmission-months-prior-901672

  3. One time reduction in total sports activities for next year? If so, what 4 women's sports would you keep? https://www.msn.com/en-us/sports/ncaafb/2020-college-football-season-reportedly-could-be-played-in-spring-2021/ar-BB12c8Gg?ocid=msedgdhp
  4. Actually I read that in the New York Times about a week ago. They did not replenish N95 masks after 2009 H1N1 pandemic. The Bush administration had established stockpiles after 9/11.
  5. I foresee conference realignment coming sooner than expected and believe some schools in FBS will drop down to FCS or drop football altogether.
  6. I am likely reducing my MGSF contribution as well and focusing on academics. I will still have club seats and season tickets and make a contribution that for me is sizable. The NFL and NBA need to create true minor leagues. We need true student athletes. Universities, like public schools, need to reduce their bloated administration and in addition need to focus on Majors that truly prepare students for employment in the real world.
  7. Going home? Baylor?
  8. With on exception it is the same as the CUSA All Conference Team. http://www.conferenceusa.com/news/2020/3/23/mens-basketball-mbb-ten-earn-nabc-all-district-honors.aspx

  9. I would think that the current situation will offset some enrollment losses in that more students may decide to stay closer to home and perhaps commute. Our location should help.

  11. I simply linked a reputable medical cite that referred to “German Measles”. Hill to die on? That being said, this thread refreshed my memory of an issue that confused a foreign exchange student that lived with my family during the 2002-2003 school year. For some reason at many social occasions people would make German Chocolate Cake when Andreas was with us. He was from Germany and some folks thought it would be special and would say “I made this especially for you” and they seemed interested in his opinion of its taste. He often would ask me “Why do they call it German Chocolate Cake? What does this have to do with Germany?” It really annoyed him after a while but he was always gracious and never said anything to anyone else. I never bothered to find out the source of its name. Sometime later I was viewing a History of Food tv show and they said it was named after Samuel German who was an American.
  12. Really? It is called both. https://www.healthline.com/health
  13. Rubella is the German Measles. I have never heard any complaints about that name.
  14. We will pray for your cousin.
  15. The article mentions Philadelphia going through with a War Bonds Parade a few days after the flu hit the city. In early February Oxiris Barbot M.D. the NYC commissioner of Health and Mental Hygiene, encouraged the public to attend the Lunar New Year Parade. On Feb 9 she tweeted additional encouragement. Despite a case of Corona Virus in the city the parade went on. https://www.msn.com/en-us/travel/news/despite-coronavirus-fears-annual-chinatown-lunar-new-year-parade-to-go-on-as-planned/ar-BBZzFZe
  16. So are you saying Joe Burrow still has eligibility?
  17. Curly was a great ball handling talent. I was a big fan of Curley and Meadowlark Lemon. When he was asked who is the best basketball player of all time, Wilt Chamberlin, a former globetrotter himself, said “Meadowlark Lemon”. RIP Curly.
  18. I wonder if Manti Te’o has a girlfriend that has been affected.

  22. March 03, 2020 INDIANAPOLIS — The recognition for WKU junior guard Taveion Hollingsworth’s big week continued Tuesday, as he was named the Oscar Robertson National Player of the Week by the U.S. Basketball Writers Association. He is the second C-USA player to earn the award this season (Jhivvan Jackson, UTSA, Dec. 22, 2019). So Hamlet should be National Co POW, Shouldn't he?

  24. We will face only one of them. They will have to play in semis if they make it that far.
  25. Play to win. We will have a long break before our next game and we don’t have the luxury of losing a game if we want the best seed we can get post season.
