Both rankings are ridiculously low. Good for motivation though.

Thanks for clarifying this. I misread the title of the thread and thought it starred Ron Jeremy. -

Say they will play first game on October 24th. Originally they had postponed until Sept 26th. https://riceowls.com/news/2020/10/9/football-owls-opener-with-middle-tennessee-to-be-played-without-fans.aspx

Gretchen Bataille was largely responsible for the Todd Dodge hire. The football coach could not make more than her as I remember. Obviously that limited the options.

Ruth Badger Ginsberg

She is the only Supreme Court Justice I met and spoke with. I disagreed with her judicial philosophy but respected her. When I met her she was the guest speaker at the conference I was attending. Prior to her speaking Charles Whitebread, a well known professor from USC Law School, spoke on significant cases from the prior term of the Supreme Court. Whitebread was criticizing Scalia throughout his presentation. She spoke next and said “Before I begin my speech I want to respond to Prof. Whitebreads criticism of Antonine”. She spoke of their personal friendship going back to their days serving as law professors etc. She also pointed out that Whitebread must have forgotten that she was part of the majority in the case, authored by Scalia, that he criticized the most in his presentation. Whitebread looked like a whipped puppy.- 12 replies

One Result of Defunding

The message has already been sent. https://www.nytimes.com/2020/07/21/us/minneapolis-police-george-floyd-protests.html As long as people like my niece want to protest and scream F___ You within inches of officers faces and post all over social media that Officers are murderers etc. I think this trend will only continue! -
Fouts was SRO that night. The largest crowd I ever saw at Fouts prior to the endzone expansion. I will be bringing a friend Saturday who played and was involved in the brawl. He was wearing a white jersey that night. If you see him at the Club wearing the wrong colors don’t give him to hard a time.

Could the financial situation be a factor. It was a very thoughtful decision,” Tech Athletic Director Tommy McClelland told the News-Star on Tuesday afternoon. “And it goes both ways with the financial situation we’re currently facing that could progressively get worse.” To take care of the total for all spring-sport student athletes, it would have cost the Louisiana Tech athletic department more than $300,000. With an athletic budget that pulled in just $37,560 in revenue for the 2019 fiscal year, curtailing that cost was a necessity. https://www.thenewsstar.com/story/sports/college/louisiana-tech/2020/04/07/how-louisiana-tech-handling-spring-sport-athletes-extra-eligibility/2957318001/

You failed to ask the important question. Who is to blame? Dickey would know who to blame.

That incident occurred during the tenure of Matt Simon. https://apnews.com/199f09e90d1aa0a014612771040f4d31 TCU had already been there done that. https://www.deseret.com/1996/11/16/19277221/at-baugh-motel-teams-throw-in-the-towel

His father is from Rule Texas and played football with Art Briles along with my cousins. It is a small world. I think he would be a good choice. If he is half as good at coaching football as his dad is at coaching track he would be an great choice.

Ortiz tied for 10th. It would be great if he could win the Safeway Open the week before we beat SMU in football. https://www.cbssports.com/golf/leaderboard/

That is not what happened. He did bring his coordinators. https://web.archive.org/web/20110714064309/http://www.meangreensports.com/ViewArticle.dbml?DB_OEM_ID=1800&ATCLID=746234 A friend of mine, the source of most of my information, had a sideline pass at the first game at OU and told me the fans were yelling and cursing at the staff etc. He said Mendoza started responding and started yelling he was going to contact security and have them thrown out of the stadium. The players said "Coach, this isn't High School they are not getting thrown out." He said that Mendoza made no adjustments at the half (he said some OU players were laughing about the obvious lack of adjustments after the game). It reached the point where the position coaches told their players to ignore Mendoza and listen to them.
