  2. Excluding Memphis, out of a possible 156 non-conference games, the other 12 teams in the AAC this season scheduled 45 games (28.8%) against sub-300 KenPom teams or non-Division I opponents. The primary offenders were Tulsa (six), UAB, South Florida, Tulane, East Carolina and Rice (five apiece). AAC commissioner Tim Pernetti says it has March Madness problem

  4. The brand initiative will be funded through a split in the league's TV revenue, with 40% distributed evenly among the 14 longstanding members and 60% going toward the brand initiative and distributed based on TV ratings. Top earners are expected to net an additional $15 million or more, according to sources, while some schools will see a net reduction in annual payout of up to about $7 million annually, Sources - FSU, Clemson expected to reach settlement with ACC - ESPN

  7. Is it the number of posts that makes that determination or the number of posters. So far about 15 members have posted on this thread. I think you need at least twice as many posters to make the claim.
  8. McCasland left after winning the NIT. Unless he thinks he has maxed out on what he can accomplish here I think Hodge would wait until, at a minimum, getting us into the NCAA tournament and preferably winning at least one game. I think that like McCasland he would wait for the right job.
  9. You are correct. I will edit.
  10. A win over FAU guarantees a bye into the Quarterfinals at the AAC tournament. We need to win!
  11. Apology accepted, no harm done. We all view the world through different lenses
  12. The simple fact that State Legislators believe that State Universities that are funded by taxpayer dollars should prioritize athletic scholarships for tax paying citizens children is neither bigoted nor moronic. They simply have an opinion that differs from your own. They are most likely being responsive to their constituents' concerns.
  13. 2023-24 Championships Schedule Men's Basketball March 13-17, 2024 Dickies Arena | Fort Worth, Texas Hosted by the American Athletic Conference Champion: UAB
  14. I have never met him, but I know he loves the music programs. We need to invite him to guest conduct the pep band.
  15. We were in the AAC last year and the league qualified 2 teams (UAB and FAU). Unfortunately, last year neither team advanced beyond the first round. No matter what happens this year we are in far better shape than the Southland, Sun Belt, or CUSA.
  16. After today's win we drop to 59 from 57 in the net. https://www.ncaa.com/rankings/basketball-men/d1/ncaa-mens-basketball-net-rankings It looks like Indiana's win over Purdue moved them ahead of us.
  17. NCAA revenue sharing: Trump administration rescinds Biden's Title IX Policy, NIL guidance "The NIL guidance, rammed through by the Biden Administration in its final days, is overly burdensome, profoundly unfair, and it goes well beyond what agency guidance is intended to achieve," the release said. "Without a credible legal justification, the Biden Administration claimed that NIL agreements between schools and student athletes are akin to financial aid and must, therefore, be proportionately distributed between male and female athletes under Title IX." Good News Indeed!
  18. Our next three away games are against USF, FAU, and Temple. Every one of those games will be difficult.
  19. Next year we play at Oregon State based on a home-home agreement. We need more of these with PAC12 and MWC schools. That game should be an opportunity for a quad one win next year.
  20. Back in June we had $3.5 million in donations and have had many more large donations since that date including this one. I think he deserves a lot of credit.
