  1. Where? Have you been to Laramie? It ain't nowhere near the far west coast!
  2. Wrong. For example, last years CUSA Tournament MVP was recruited by DeLong. https://meangreensports.com/sports/softball/roster/molly-rainey/5851 What player/players are you referring to?
  3. I don't think Mac is going anywhere. He is a big football fan and he especially isn't going to a school that doesn't have a football team.
  4. Olson: "There's not expansion options out there.. [SMU/SDSU] isn't going to change the game at all."
  5. Maybe so, but that is what UT, SMU, Houston, and Baylor (in Progress) have done. Houston for example: Overall, the new arena carries a capacity of 7,100 compared to the 8,479 of Hofheinz.
  6. If Johnny Jones gets the job, who should replace him?
  7. If you are deflated and your girlfriend is still excited, then she is definitely a keeper.
  8. FAU is our Conference Champ but Memphis puts $ in our pockets the more they win.
  9. Very well done. I hope they win it all. We benefit from the credits.
  10. The loss at home to Rice hurt us the most. The loss to UNCW on a neutral court was the next worst loss. If we had won the home game against Rice I think we would have made the cut. A win against Rice and UNCW would definitely have gotten us in. The Charlotte loss on the Road did not hurt us nearly as much as the other two losses.
  11. I think that by and large most of us are grateful and relieved to have a No.2.
  12. Is that a cross between Whup and Hoop?
  13. Why alll the interest on this board in the Athletic Director at West Virginia?
  14. That bus has sailed. No turning back.
  15. He got to keep his job and ride the bus back to Houston. He did not need that extra pair of shoes he packed.
  16. I am recording the game until I can watch it. Glad no won has posted the score. That being said I think FAU will win easily.
  17. Tyree deserves credit for his academic work as well as his contributions on the court.
  18. We have improved our free throw percentage as the season has progressed. Consider the three most recent games: WKU5-5, MTSU 25-30, Charlotte 10-10. If we keep this up we will win in Frisco! 1 Charlotte 31 301 403 0.747 2 North Texas 31 376 504 0.746 3 UTSA 31 474 641 0.739 4 Rice 31 429 581 0.738 5 Louisiana Tech 31 366 497 0.736 6 UAB 31 520 714 0.728 7 FIU 31 374 520 0.719 8 WKU 31 399 556 0.718 9 Florida Atlantic 31 386 542 0.712 10 Middle Tennessee 31 350 517 0.677 11 UTEP 31 438 689 0.636
  19. And the members of CUSA who are left behind will benefit from the NCAA credits. Should we be rooting for Houston to do well?
  20. https://conferenceusa.com/sports/2023/2/23/hoopsatthestar_2023.aspx?path=general I would rather play FIU than La Tech.
  21. A UTSA Architecture Graduate provided the preliminary sketches. It is done in the only design genre they teach there, which is known as the "Modern Doublewide Look". It is very popular with their graduates.
  22. I thought someone would have posted this by now since I received it yesterday. On July 1, the University of North Texas (UNT) will be an official member of the American Athletics Conference. This is a new chapter for the Mean Green and moments like this do not happen without supporters like yourself. Your commitment to our student-athletes and university is something we don't take for granted. After months of research and discussion, UNT will implement a strategic approach regarding season tickets and premium seating. The adjustments will include: New Per Seat Obligation Seating Model Any individual who purchases season tickets for Football or Basketball (MBB and WBB) will be obligated to pay the per seat amount for each sport. In the past, patrons only had to pay the highest per seat obligation. All per seat obligation amounts go to the Mean Green Scholarship Fund (MGSF). Elimination of the Stadium Fund Component Starting this Football season, the stadium fund component will no longer be required for season tickets in the HUB Club area. You're receiving this email because you currently have HUB Club seats. UNT has implemented a Loyalty Program for those who have been committed to UNT for several years. Below are the pricing packages for your seats of interest: Transition to The American FAQ - University of North Texas Athletics (meangreensports.com) Having paid the stadium fund for 6 Club Seats I am somewhat unhappy with the change.
  23. https://www.msn.com/en-us/sports/other/ncaa-tournament-bracket-projections-68-team-predictions-bubble-teams-february-24/ar-AA17ScjB?ocid=msedgdhp&pc=U531&cvid=4c5e32020ce74e9babbb969ab10a79b9&ei=19 NCAA Tournament Bubble: Four That Will Probably Screw Everyone Up aka, these four are projected out teams that might end up getting in after going on a splashy run in the respective conference tournaments North Texas (Conference USA) Utah State (Mountain West) Wake Forest (ACC) Penn State (Big Ten)

  24. That schedule was brutal. The victory over Oregon State at Fouts is one of my best memories from my 45+ plus years of fanship. As I remember we came back to win in the 4th quarter. That year we also televised every game locally. I believe it was on Channel 27 in DFW. Gil Brandt was one of the members of the Broadcast team but I do not remember the other.
  25. Al gave $1 million for the preliminary excavation work for Apogee. He did want to help fund a baseball program. After he and Shirley divorced he remarried and moved to Florida. The last time I spoke with him was when he came to a game in 2017. Unfortunately, he fell ill within a year or so and died. A friend of mine told he his children's pastime of choice is Rednecks with a Paycheck.
