    Getting into my wayback machine, I remember the first time I came to Dallas and saw cars with green "NUTS" stickers in the back windows. It wasn't until I happened to see one that hadn't been altered that I got it.

    Lockdown due to suspicious masked dude spotted in the DPD garage. The perp ran when told to stop. Garage, and now surface lot, has been / is being systematically cleared by police. Canine units are now doing a second sweep. If the perp gets away he is trained and knows what he is doing. This fits my theory yesterday that the shooter / scumbag was not the only one and that I think there will be others uncovered. Too much precision and damage for one sorry bastard, IMO.

    I did not take it that way. I was just letting other readers know that I am comfortable with that bunch of people. It really enrages me when people try to capitalize on tragedy, like the situation you cited.

    Haven't heard about that yet. That is beyond disgusting!! People like that should be exposed and prosecuted. In the case of the establishment I linked, the owner's son is an officer and the staff is as honest as it gets.

    Reportedly, before negotiations were suspended he also threatened to kill himself and detonate some explosives in the process. The bomb (IED) threats may turn out to be a bluff but prudence was warranted. This whole thing was very well planned and organized; this guy had served a tour in Afghanistan. My opinion is that this was too effective to be carried out by one guy and so there is a "cell" out there.

    In some commentary I have watched, the primary reason to use the robot was in case the rat bastard had booby-trapped the area where he was holed up. They didn't want to risk more lives.

Chalk one up for the good guys...I heard on the radio that the DPD robot delivered a little CARE package to the rat bastard that was holed up and blew his ass up!

    Must stay in budget!! They probably shut the electronic sign off to save money; alternative hypothesis is the windmills have gone offline for maintenance or their output is sold to stay in budget.

    We have the coaching and I am optimistic that we have enough quality players with these additions to play some nasty D. I have been concerned with one thing since this strategy and results became apparent...practice time. Will we have enough time to bring these guys together in a high-functioning unit before the season starts?
