  1. Not just him, but The Wren too. It must be the current phrase, because I hear it from a lot of people and it is everywhere on TV news and sports. Having said that (nudge, nudge, wink, wink), it IS the end of the day and I have nothing more to say.
  2. This was an impressive thing to do by Coach Littrell. If he only made five deliveries, that would be impressive. Thanks Coach! Imagine DD doing that during his tenure..."Here's your tickets MFer!".
  3. I believe the Russians hacked us.
  4. Ahhh...memories! My folks called it "Monkey Ward's". As in "I need a wrench. Goin' to Monkey Ward's and be back in an hour!".
  5. Apparently he was not flexible.
  6. Your scoop wasn't lost on me. I saw the identical post posted twice at one point. Think I even gave you an "attaboy".
  7. Old what's-his-name got us one rung up the "ladder" alright!
  8. I've noticed how we don't seem to get clutch hits lately. That is biting us in the ass, bigtime! I don't want to jinx us with the ASStros having three more outs, but I think they will lose to Toronto and we can hold our 5.5 game lead for another day.
  9. GOT ME! I'm busted. :)
  10. I was pawing through some old papers and found the envelope in which last year's tickets were mailed. It was postmarked August 10. That was an internal postage meter, so my guess of August 15 receipt was not that far off the mark. FYI, Section 207 is where I lurk.
  11. He is known for his hard-hitting, innovative defensive play. The Richmond players are enthusiastic and already learning some drills from him, with emphasis on improving their toughness in game situations:
  12. Further, it looks like the bottom rung of the ladder is credited with 16 points. How many times have we appeared in the AP poll? That should be how many points we have.
  13. I get that we are all full of pent-up desire for immediate changes...and we want it NOW! As much as that would be great, the reality is that The Wren has landed on an oil tanker and is making his way to the helm. It is going to take him some time to overcome the inertia and get this thing on a different heading. The best we can do is stoke the boiler for him so he can execute his plan. JMHO.
  14. Thanks, Rick. That defines the size of the "issue" (non-issue) pretty well.
  15. Yes. But there is a big difference. The former AD had gravity...the new AD has gravitas!
  16. Question, for those who post here and may have access to UNT demographics: How many students do we have enrolled that are age 21 or more? I ask because that would be the total universe of potential new concealed carriers on campus. For the sake of discussion, let's assume that all eligible faculty, staff, etc. already have exercised their right one way or the other. From the time this first came up, I have always wondered just how many people we were talking about.
  17. Whenever I see Rawlings, he reminds me of NY Mayor "Big Bird" de Blasio.
  18. Concur. Given the timing of the AD change and Benford's contract, this is the best for UNT. Plus, any coach that Baker would want will most likely not want to move until after this upcoming season is finished.
  19. So does Limburger and Kimchi! Realistically, with the basic foundation being formed, Baker won't have time to do much on the basketball front but observe and take notes. We will know by late February or early March what will take place. But the writing may be on the wall in January. JMHO.
  20. Me too! He made a bad mistake but he handled himself like a responsible man should, IMO. Best of luck to him in the future.
  21. Hold your breath and pray for the best where private universities are concerned. They have joined the list of target-rich, gun-free zones. As for UNT, I predict that there will be no noticeable impact whatsoever.
