I did see Fine up close during the Mean Green March. The lady standing next to me jumped out into the march about a yard or so and high-fived him; she had to stretch. He had his game face on and looked a little startled at first, then smiled. I believe the man is 5' 11".

I DVRd it and watched some of it last night after getting home from the Bedford Blues Festival...but I fell asleep. I will watch the rest of it soon. From what I remember, B-C's lines are BIG and they are not just fat. They have a good QB and speed. They seemed to play very undisciplined...lots of penalties, some senseless or stupid. Announcers said they were the most penalized team in college football last year. They were not executing well but my initial impression is that we must not take them too lightly. They are used to winning and have won their conference four of the last five years, per announcers. Tighten your chin and jock straps, we're in for a bumpy ride.

I am debating with myself about whether Morris was indecisive, whether SMU's coverage was superior, or whether the receivers were not on the same wavelength. I do agree with WagTag about the improved QB play overall. I do not see deep ball and Morris in the same sentence. It would have been nice to be able to record the game in order to resolve some of these thoughts.

I always stay to the end (sometimes bitter) just because I have seen some crazy shit happen in my football-watching lifetime. It ain't over til its over. Also, I like the Alma Mater and "You'll Never Walk Alone".

I have family coming up 35 from Dallas. They usually park at Fouts and walk over the pedestrian bridge. What is the exit situation from 35 now? Is it well-marked? Will they be able to get there? Chris' map link does not show exits/traffic flows. Inquiring minds want to know.

Looks like that trip to Bowling Green in November could get interesting. Watching their offense work has elements of what I think we'll see from our team on Saturday. Their receivers are too fast for Rice and I hope ours will get open against SMUt.
