I had a bad feeling about this game (I posted my fears as early as Monday) and I'm sorry to say they came true. Maybe they needed a good kick in the nuts to get focused for LaTech; that game will present an opportunity for big-time redemption. At the end of the day, I would trade a nUTSAck loss for a LaTech win.

LMAO! I am VERY careful who Denise "performs" for. Especially her hit "Lick It Before...It". :) And we used to think Doug Clark & The Hot Nuts played raunchy music when I was starting college in 1963. The "normal" mix at my place would usually include Buddy Guy, Joe Cocker, B.B. King, Susan Tedeschi, Janis Joplin and Foreigner (just as a change of pace). Delbert McClinton and Muddy Waters would be close by.

The team has not looked very competitive in pre-season, IMO. I hope Dirk has one more good season left in those legs, it would be great to see him in the playoffs again; this might be his last shot. I guess we'll find out what they will look like when it counts, starting tomorrow night. GO MAVS!!

Indeed I have...and a fine defense they are developing into. I am worried about a letdown this week. I also do not take nUTSAck lightly, and what they might be able to do in their own house. I have an uneasy feeling about this game, just can't help it.

Sorry to add a note of sobriety, but...it is past time to quit celebrating the Army win and focus laser-like on nUTSAck. I have a very uneasy feeling about this upcoming game...like, it's a trap! I hope the team came down to earth yesterday or a dawn this morning. Our ultimate goal is to go to Mi Tierra and have tacos after the game, made with roadrunner fries.

My pre-season pick was four wins. At this point, any win we achieve is just gravy. IMO, this coaching staff and our players have outperformed, based on the hurdles they had to jump coming into the season. UTSA looms ahead as a possible trap game for us, coming off a big win, while nUTSAck is at home, pissed off and motivated to beat us. If we can get up to excise nUTSAck we could make it to seven wins and go bowling. What a start to the Seth Littrell era!

This old man thinks that Littrell's character is such that he won't entertain any job overtures until he has accomplished what he set out to do when he came here. That goes for his staff too. When we string together a couple of winning seasons and we're definitely on the upswing is when we should be on the alert for any staff defections. IMO, they are here to build something to show they can...then they might listen to something higher up the food chain. I believe Littrell and Co. are career-builders, not just money whores.
