I saw an email from UNT Athletics, quoted below: "McCasland should have his coaching staff cleared to be announced on meangreensports.com in the next couple of days. In the next couple of weeks, coach McCasland will be hitting the recruiting trail as basketball signing day will begin on April 12, 2017."

Don't know what Akron's RPI was by comparison, but UTA treated them like the bastard at the family reunion. UTA dominated. I'm no UTA fan but I respect what I saw them do.

UTA wins 85 - 69...and it wasn't that close. They make it to a quarterfinal game vs winner Cal State-Bakersfield / Colo State.

For what it is worth, UTA is kicking Akron's ass...bigtime! Up about 26 with about 11 minutes left to play. I'm flipping back and forth to another program but UTA looks good! NIT 2nd round on ESPNU.

That may be true. There is also the position that the staff chemistry is right, at this time, so why break up the band. If McCasland has any weak sisters, I bet he knows who they are. My opinion is that if it ain't broke, don't "fix" it...unintended consequences and all that. JMO.

That makes sense because of the comment by the opposing coach that some coaches don't like him running up the score. If he has a huge talent advantage, it must be very hard to keep him from moving the chains with four plays from scrimmage.

If you think this board has been crazy from time to time, with passionate (or even vehement) rhetoric, just adopt that coach's system here.

One place I have seen mentioned in connection with Hodge is Austin Peay. He would have to want a HC gig pretty bad to stand on the sideline and have a crowd behind him chanting "GO PEAY!!, GO PEAY!!". Plus, his asst. compensation here might be just as good. They probably pay peaynuts there.

I just checked the schedule and the Rams will be coming to Arlington this fall. It would be nice to see Lance have a great game! I've always thought he would have done much more for the Cowboys if they would have just gotten the ball to him a few more times per game.

Good story, especially because it affects SMUt's depth, but I don't think it changes anything other than we know who to prepare for (or as they would say on the Hilltop, "we know for whom to prepare").

I have always wondered why UNT has not built more parking garages. I suppose there is some sweet spot of construction costs versus land value, or minimum parking utilization percentage threshhold, or some other thing. It seems to me that going up for parking has always made sense for some places on or around campus. Someone who knows the details, please enlighten us.
