    I would think there would be Fox interest in such a show. Here is another chance to chronicle the rise of a program from the ashes. If SL continues to build like we think he will, last season and next will comprise quite a story. Enter GM to perhaps do the same thing...that would also be quite a story.

    I once commented on my Italian brother-in-law's new set of Pirelli tires. Told him that they were OK because dago through rain and dago through snow...but when dago flat dago wop wop wop! He smiled and responded with a slur about my mother. Then we drank a beer. Those were the good old days! I would have posted a youtube link to a Lenny Bruce performance but thought better of it. :)

    One big problem is the total clusterf_k that is I-35. I was apalled that so little progress seems to have been made when I drove up for the spring football game. Couple that with the tipoff times and you almost have to take a few hours off if you want to enjoy the whole experience (tailgate, Mean Green Room, etc.). Fortunately for myself, I have the flexibility to do that now, whereas I didn't when I was last at the SuperPit for a game.

    That is indeed a pleasant thought but if it has ever existed I'm not aware of it. A production like that might help spread the word about the new staff, new players, and help get fans back to the SuperPit.

    If you are on U-Verse it is 1753 Fox Sports Dallas HD (FSDAHD). Also 1755 and 1756 (Fox Sports Houston and San Antonio in HD) OR 753 Fox Sports Southwest - Dallas (FSSW-D) in SD. Also 755 and 756 (Fox Sports Houston and San Antonio).

I have not seen Disgraced but after seeing the trailer it looks like a winner; thanks, I'll look for it.

    UNM just hired the coach from "Loose Crotches" (NMSU) to replace the dud. I think his name is Weir. Had only one season at NMSU but won big. Weir probably has guys bailing on him or guys he is trying to get to upgrade what he inherited. http://www.golobos.com/index.aspx

    Indeed. I did a quick search and find the UNM situation interesting. UNM has had a highly successful program for years. The guy that took over from Steve Alford had one good year, then it was very Benfordesque the last few until he got canned this month. UNM has a new coach coming in this year, just as we do.

    Not to mention exposure to benefit his possible pro career. The only scouts that will see him play there are from the Chihuahua Pistoleros of the Mexican league. He can and should do better.

    I happened to check my scheduled DVR recordings today and noticed that a new Beyond The Green featuring spring ball is scheduled to record this Friday, 4/21, at 4:30 p.m. on Fox Sports Dallas, U-Verse 1753 in Richardson. This is just a public service for those who record the series.

    Agree. Looks to me like we landed a high-quality coaching staff. Turn 'em loose and try to keep 'em happy. Looking forward to returning to the SuperPit this fall after a LONG absence.

    Hitch is getting long in the tooth but if it wasn't for him I wouldn't have a Stars Stanley Cup shirt in the dresser. I'm sure management feels he has a few more seasons in him, plus he will be motivated as hell. Welcome back, Ken!

    I always thought that Ft. Bliss was a misnomer! :) At that time, it was either perform or get recycled...there was no quitting in Army. I just realized that, if Dr. Who came by and offered me a trip today, and I asked him to take me back exactly 50 earth years...I would be at Ft. Bliss.

    The Gov should mind his own business. Let Marshall's Board and Administrators do their jobs without interference. Holliday's contract runs through 2021. In Holliday's seven seasons his winning percentage is .589, with four bowl wins in four tries. He had one really bad season...3 - 9 last year. He was C-USA Coach of the Year in 2014. Marshall has a good coach and has earned more rope than "one bad year and you're gone". JMHO.

    You should have seen their faces in Edinburg when I dazzled them with my two years of Indiana high school Spanish! :) I also spent a few weeks in El Paso about four years later at that little paradise (Logan Hts. ?) in the foothills off of Dyer St. that our Uncle operated. My Spanish was better by then. When I got off the bus, I was surprised that the first greeting I received was totally in English..."Drop, Fat F_k, and give me 20!".
