VERY nice setup. I was in and out in about 20 minutes. I would have liked to stay and mingle but there were zombies lurking at Eagle Gun Range and I had to get there to reinforce the troops by putting some lead downrange. If I had hung around for Happy Hour I would have violated range rules. The ticket package was correct and very snazzy! It raises hope for the seatbacks. The folks working the tables were friendly and acted like they wanted to be there. I was able to gather all the abundant freebies and get headed back south to kill zombies without delay. Again, this was a very well done event and I was impressed. Congratulations to all who made it happen!

Also, FYI, there will be a total eclipse of the sun on the day Emmitt takes office (path of totality passes north of us but we will have a good partial eclipse). COINCIDENCE? I think not! For some reason (probably something I saw on the History Channel) I browsed Farmersville, TX in connection with Audie Murphy. I got to the Chamber of Commerce site and saw they had some "Farmersville Facts" and that they were published on 2/26/17. I clicked on a link and it took me to a little brochure; on page 8 of that brochure we are mentioned as "North Texas State University". I know they must live in the past over there but...seriously? I spent last weekend at Wildflower. There had to be close to 20,000 people packed in there for Lynryd Skynyrd's Saturday night show. The majority stood for the 1 1/2 hour concert (one of the very best I have ever seen btw). There was a large security and police presence all three days and I found myself thinking "What do they know that I don't ?". Events like Wildflower, Bedford Blues, Denton Arts & Jazz, Main Street Ft. Worth, etc., have been a way of life for me but they are targets of opportunity for the bad guys. I pray to God that crap like in the article Harry posted doesn't begin happening here more frequently but I'm afraid it is only a matter of time. Even tailgating seems like a pretty soft target.

I chickened out because of the weather. That was the night we had all of those tornadoes and I backed out after the weather radar began to show the obvious. I have not given up on your suggested route and will take a road trip to try it soon.
