Here is the answer to tonight's game...something we have not seen for several games and in either of our losses:

I can somewhat understand the football situation because it takes so many excellent athletes and so much money to field a nationally-competitive team...advantage "big boys". But in basketball, the field is more level, IMO. The number of excellent athletes you need is reduced to, realistically, single digits. The equipment and resources needed to support such a team is greatly reduced. A good coach, a good recruiter...voila! You can be competitive, whether you are Duke, North Texas, or BF Egypt. You just have to prove it on the court. I've always felt that way, but maybe that's my Hoosier upbringing showing through. Now...can we just regain our shooting touch, stomp the hell out of Rice today, and start our roll toward the Big Dance??

Adding insult to injury, OU got a win over TCU. If we had pulled out this game, we might have picked up a little more support.

As the "refs" walked off, one was heard to remark "Kinda F'n Crazy, wasnt it? 🙂 ". The other responded "Yeah, but the game check will be finger lickin' good! 🙂 ".

Feel the same. It is not like this was a meaningless game.

Nervous Nelly here. I felt this coming on yesterday, but it is worse than I imagined. Going to be hard to pull this one out unless we start to shoot for a better percentage and the three blind mice call a few fouls in our favor.

Tomorrow's game looks scary if we're not on our game and in the right frame of mind. If this team has a killer instinct somewhere inside them, tomorrow would be a great time to unveil it. We need to pluck those birds...pluck 'em good! Early and often!! This is not the game to find ourselves playing from behind in the last five minutes of the game. Signed, Nervous Nelly

Regarding the Pit lighting observations made in this thread, I have been under the impression that it is intentional. I thought it was to provide better visibility of the ball for the players. Fact or just the Pinot Noir impacting my brain?

Shorten that up to "NT vs ND Bring Them Down" and you've got my attention!
