The only thing about the whole show that has ever even slightly rubbed me the wrong way is the repetitive UNT spots. I have always said to myself "Self, I think the repetitive spots are placeholders until that airtime gets sold". There did seem to be one or two additional regular commercials yesterday. This is not a complaint. If the number of UNT spots is going to remain the same, may I suggest that at least one more gets produced to add to the rotation. JMHO from a guy who doesn't know jack about the video business.

Maybe...but would you want to risk it with YOUR balls? Do it yourself and you know it is done right.

An enjoyable episode to watch. I particularly enjoyed the on-campus segment with our guys quizzing students.

I understand and respect where Shapiro is coming from. On the other hand, how much fun would it be for those guys to be sitting in Beaumont surrounded by flooding without any city water. Some will settle for nothing short of walking on water but I think we're in for one helluva good try at it. Our coach appears to have what it takes to guide this team to a winning (not perfect) season.

After much cogitation, 7 - 5 and we get to a bowl game. Can't guess bowl outcome without further info (where, who, our injury report, etc.); TBD.

A quick look at the calendar makes me think he meant those dates in OCTOBER.

UNTMike's post is right on. In 1967, I was living in the Valley and a member of the Texas National Guard. We were activated by the Governor to provide security and rescue operations during Hurricane Beulah. Suffice it to say that Beulah was a real bitch. The storms were comparable in many ways but Harvey is much slower moving and therefore dumping much more water it seems. Of all disasters, hurricanes are the worst in my opinion. That opinion is based on having been up close and personal with a very nasty one. We're all football fans here, but I would not get my undies in a wad if this game was postponed under these circumstances. This is a disaster that will have effects for years on that region.

On a positive note, the flag pole might be up in time for the first home game!

You make an excellent point. I hope someone from the AD reads your post and uses it to teach the staff. Not berate, harangue, throw a tantrum...just use it as a tool to expand the thinking away from the "script".

My thinking is pretty much aligned with untjim's thoughts on the previous page. There is no need to put a major beatdown on Lamar. Get and maintain enough margin to feel comfortable in playing backups for the fourth quarter. Respect Lamar and expect them to be competitive! Show as little of the offense as necessary to SMU.
