  1. Things may have changed, but LAST YEAR we had the option of picking up in Denton. After a certain date, they were to be mailed. If it is possible for you, I recommend the personal pickup. First, the ticket packages will probably not be ready to be released by any method until (I'm guessing here) mid-August. Second, I think I recall a nice little "release party" where you could also pick up a yard sign, posters, etc. Disclaimer: I have NO inside info about what this year's plans are; haven't even heard any hot rumors.
  2. Be careful what you ask for!
  3. A quick search shows these guys are the real deal, just have a name that is foreign to the great unwashed, such as myself. I would expect a good business decision from TheWren, and this looks like another winner. They are apparently owned by Learfield and have some high profile clients, besides us. https://www.learfield.com/business/paciolan/ https://www.paciolan.com/
  4. That whole story makes me sick. Sure looks like there is a swamp in Waco that is deeper than we thought.
  5. That's what HE said...
  6. I hope ya'll have a great time in those good seats in the Arkansas section... call the hogs... and make lots of new friends!
  7. Very nice to see him get a shot at the next level. I wish him the very best...him personally. I can't stomach the damned Redskins franchise but their money is probably good so I hope Darvin gets to spend plenty of it.
  8. Visitor seating location is pretty much SOP throughout college football, in my experience. Look where OUR visitors sit. My advice (you didn't ask but I'm giving it) is to buy your ticket from the Athletic Department. If you don't, you'll end up surrounded by Hogs who will be pissed when we win...and you will be boared throughout the game. As others have said, it is a lot more fun when you are surrounded by Green.
  9. I always thought JJ was a great coach and a great man. Every contact I ever had with him was sorta like Rock described above. In fact, the first time I ever met him was at a football game and he introduced himself to me. TSU has a gem there and I hope they give him the necessary support and resources to build their program.
  10. Volcanoes gonna erupt, cattle gonna fart, Mother Earth gonna move and change over geologic time, electromagnetic poles gonna shift, etc.. What scares the hell out of me is if I'm still around when that magma chamber at Yellowstone decides to blow. Meanwhile, ants and people gonna come and go in a relative instant. I have a lot more to worry about than global warming, particularly since I have zero effect on it. I do my best to recycle and be otherwise a responsible steward of things under my control but, at the end of the day, I believe we're just along for the ride.
  11. Right on! The fisherman/fisherwoman has NO sympathy for the bait!!
  12. You are such a tease! You post and then only show a little leg...
  13. Its only a day away.
  14. Judging by the highlights, Mr. Cassidy has strength and finesse, with a touch of nasty. My kind of tackle!
  15. I am green to the bone, and try to always be on the optimistic side of things. The following is NOT pessimistic, just the facts as I see them...
  16. "You lost me here. LaTech and SoMiss I can see but UAB in just their second year back and UNT who we had a major cluster fuck at the end to lose are being used as something to be worried about? If this is accurate then we are not even rebuilding, we are trash. These should be at worst toss up games. Not an Omen we have to fear." - dmfdavid
  17. I'm aware of the positive and negative aspects of such a plan, but I prefer to let others show off while we maintain frequent, secure communications with our intended targets. At the appropriate time, we can swoop down and get them on the dotted line.
  18. The more I read about McCasland, the more insight I develop as to how he has built that coaching record of his. The man is a leader and a winner. Long may he be at the helm of the Mean Green basketball team!
  19. I watched the Belmont race on TV. That is a beautiful, powerful horse and I'm glad he has a North Texas connection. He seemed so calm and confident throughout, from loading to start to finish...he was in control. Walk him around the field in a UNT jersey/saddleblanket. Its a shame that his colors were vaguely SMUtish. 😞
  20. Would you say "No" to Morehead?
  21. True, and size doesn't matter as much as their perspective and attitude!
  22. True. A large number of people, including moi, wrote checks and got rid of those orange seats. There should still be a plaque somewhere in the Pit with the story.
  23. I have read a bunch of valid points so far in this thread. There is only one thing in the overall equation that we can control, which is our own effort. Let's just win, and let the other variables fall as they will. If we win, some of those other good things just might come to pass.
