To me, it is an embarrassing reminder of where this series stands historically. It should motivate the players to do everything they can to take one incremental step forward. A week from Saturday is the only opportunity this year to do anything more than just talk about it.

Reading those statistics will leave a bad taste in your mouth. I can only describe it as something similar to this:

True. You may want to park your car some distance from the stadium and call Uber. The guy that picked me up had a special vehicle that insured my safety and cut through the traffic.

These statistics are what make me nauseous about this opponent. There is nothing we can do about the past, but we can damned sure set our jaws and come out balls-on-fire to dominate the next opportunity...and the next, and the next, etc. It is time! Vegas still has us as only a 3.5 point favorite! This team must accept the challenge and take no prisoners!

Well, I did my best to independently and objectively evaluate the schedule, then find I pretty much agree with other posters re: my projection. My biggest fear is that we come out flat on September 1 and screw the pooch. It is just one game but I see it as the key to the season, IMHO. I emailed BV the following: 9 - 3 on the Reg Season, 1 - 1 split Conf Champ & Bowl, so 10 - 4 final guesstimate. For those who think I am too pessimistic, you may be correct. I checked old emails to BV and discovered that I have been consistently low by one or two wins in previous years. I would love to be wrong!

It IS SMUt, plus the lagniappe, wrestling. The two combined will bring in the die-hards and the casual, "something different" crowd. I'm thinking approximately 27,000, putting attendance in your 25K - 28K range. Mark it down!

My un-educated, wild-ass guess is that they want the guys to play on the surface and work in all of the pellets, or whatever they added to the base turf. By the time game day rolls around, they will clean it up and "groom" it some. JMO.

I checked twice. The first time, there were some Mediums and Smalls still available. Saw Emmitt and he had one on...said he got the last one in his size. Went back later to check on a "boonie - style" hat that Victor wore...they were all gone too. I was told that both items would be restocked by September. We haven't snapped the ball once. These last couple of months, with all of the pre-season accolades and coach-poaching speculation, have been tough on my sleep pattern.
