Not defending SMUt, just making an observation. Looking across the field from me, I could see the Mr. Peppermints, of course, and there was actually a discernible group of SMUt fans outlined around them. I cannot estimate the total but, to their credit, a number of them actually showed up.

I have an app on my phone (free) called Sound Check, sponsored by the Starkey hearing people. I didn't think to check the crowd noise because I was into the game. I did check the sound level when the wrestling came on. It was consistently above 90 decibels and broke 100 decibels on numerous occasions. Of course, that was PA system and not the crowd. That is a good app to have on your phone if you can get it free. Mine is Android, I don't know about availability for iPhones.

They are coming here to make a statement and we'll get their best shot. I expect the game to be interesting and not a total blowout. It looked like SMU thought all they had to do was show up and go through the motions.

With your highly-respected prognostication track record, may I humbly request that you consider making Briles to TT an official projection? It would save us all a lot of week-to-week anguish.

It appears to me that there is more fill flying around when players impact the turf in whatever way, compared to the old turf. I don't know much about turf but I suspect it is just because it has not been in place long enough to settle. Or could it be a characteristic of the cork fill versus rubber?

The team better be concentrating on IW and not looking ahead, for a few reasons I can think of: They are college athletes and will show up; we will get their best shot. The ball sometimes takes funny bounces and assignments get missed; stuff happens. Getting caught out of position or not tackling can change things in a hurry. Carrot - Coming out hot and putting game out of reach early means more reps for backups and more rest for regulars going into a road game with the Hogs. Just some thoughts I had that should contribute to our success this week and, indirectly, the following week. JMHO. P.S. Size DOES Matter!

Yes. And I was at both of those games to the bitter end. 😞

Me too! I was just going to post that my DVR menu showed it scheduled last night. In my case (and for other UVerse users) it is on 1753 (HD) or 753 (SD) FSDA (Fox Sports Dallas). I haven't checked the other Fox Sports "flavors" but it is usually showing there simultaneously.

Au contraire! Look up the box score. IW was decent except for the first quarter. Obviously necessary for us to come out hot and build a lead.
